Hi, I took a break and first went in game to confirm that the last plugin to touch the vanilla bows is Advantageous Archery. The "more informative console" mod helped me confirm that yes, that is the last plugin to touch them. I then used SSEEdit (XEdit) to open all 749 active plugins simultaneously and went to the Advantageous Archery plugin to see which impact set it uses for vanilla bows. It uses: 0x193b9 - WPNzArrowImpactSet Then, with all plugins opened, I checked to see what changes 0x193b9. Nothing does. It's created by skyrim.esm and is not touched by any other plugin. This said, many mods which change weapons do so using SKSE and scripts. If that's what is happening (and it probably is), then I cannot see that using SSEEdit nor using More Informative Console. As I said above a few posts ago. I feel confident (to inductive levels of certainty) that Advantageous Archery is what causes this wonderful effect of arrows not sticking to targets (but still harming them). But if it (or anything) is causing this, it's not causing it via change to the vanilla arrow impact set. - Today

Vortex got flagged as malicious software, and was flagged as infected application four times by bit defender. Something up. I'm not a computer expert, but I recommend everyone get their computer checked regardless.

To be clear, I absolutely do not want to fix it *Laughs* And I'm not actually where I can even look at a list of my mods right now (I'm in the kitchen cooking, haha). But honestly next time I get a chance to play and to look in depth into the bows in question I'll let you know what I find. A day or two ago I wasn't even sure it was bow related. Initially there was no way to know whether it was bow, ammo or impact related. But I started a new character lately and used a bow I haven't used in nearly a year. I promise I will return to this thread after I take your suggestions and apply them to investigation -
Thank you so much for the responses. Never got notified that I got responses. @AaronOfMpls I had Speak And Spell and Speak And Maths. The biggest problem with Speak And Spell was that they never adapted it to the British market. You would get this: Spell "favourite" so I would start putting in "f a v o u r i t" but couldn't get the final "E" as it only had room for eight letter words. I also remember having to spell "colour" as "color". Did you have any of the modules for it? I had The E.T one and I think I had another one. Since people are mentioning computers the first computer I gamed on was the Atari 800. I also gamed on a Commodore Vic-20. Anyone else old enough to remember doing this on their computers, putting in your BASIC cartridge and then doing this, 10 Print I love Nexusmods 20 copy 30 run We had books with tons of programmes like that in them. Oh I miss gaming in the 1980's. You had the Atari, Master System, NES, all those computers and the golden age of video arcades.

Is Sony going to lower the mod restrictions on PS4, as I don't wish to put money into gaming if Sony is not going to be loyal to it's customer. I know makers of Skyrim are in talks with Sony about mod restrictions on ps5, I don't want to buy another console if they're not going to be loyal to PS4 players

I think i need you to elaborate on what your mods do.. because changing impact set is nothing related to what they actually do normally, unless you are adding special particles or behaviour to the impact, and as is, it seems the only thing changed is that they bounce off, nothing else special happens in regards to impact. meaning you might be better off fixing it if you prefer the sticking of arrows when possible. so basically, impact sets, only defines, if it sticks, what kind of particles spew out if any, like sparks or blood, and that's pretty much it. So whatever your mods do, if they aren't specifying that that is a behaviour they wanted, the ricochet off enemies, than it is probably accidental. To fix it though, you first need to find the mod that changes vanilla impact sets on the vanilla weapons, and than you can safely change the impact set back to the vanilla one save the esl or esp than be on your merry way with fixed arrows. because the impact set should not have anything to do with anything but particles that spew out, or if it sticks or bounces off target. nothing else. it's safe to change if that is the change you want and nothing else. Cheers here's what this tab looks like, just to show you how it only defines what it does on impact, if ricochet or bounce off, and the particle effects. Ok, that proved nothing, but trust me, it only does that, damage, special effects, enchantments, and scripts are something totally different, impact sets only do these things i said There could have been another possibility, which is the "material type" could have been changed for actors, but seeing as you say everything bounces off everything if using vanilla bows, but not with your modded bow, than this can't be it, it's the vanilla bows "impact set" for sure, but here is what this would do, for the curious ya see the arrows stick part, if that where to be changed on all material types used by actors than you would get that effect, it is extremely unlikely someone would go that far though to change vanilla behaviour to something like that.. -

Seems that is exactly the problem than.. one of the mods modifies the impact set of all vanilla sets. meaning your modded ones work because they use the vanilla impact set. you might like to pinpoint this in the future at some point though and fix it, since it is pretty fun sticking arrows in to a dragons well... uh.. i like to aim at the back near the tail. -

Can you elaborate a bit on what you want to know? If you are asking if a piece of armor can be beautiful and still effective, it all depends on the designer, but general rule, it is normally either beautiful or effective, doing both compromises the other. this is more for real life though.. in games, i really don't care too much. Sorry if that's not what you wanted to know. -

Hello, my friend! Thanks for the suggestions. For me, there isn't actually a problem. I very much like that the ammunition bounces off, allowing me to collect it all after the battles finish. It's more like an intellectual exercise and curiosity. The main confusing confabulation of discombobulating obfuscations is that I have numerous mods all of which affect impacts and ammunition penetration. To recap the main points, the ammunition does full damage. It just falls to the ground after hitting (unless it's a non-vanilla weapon). When I get a chance, though, I'll see if I can confirm my suspicion of which mod is making the effect -

No exact idea of what is being discussed here, i haven't really opened up the c.k for skyrim cos i don't even have it rn(sorry in advance), but if you would like to pinpoint this real easy, and it is like f04 which it should be similar, just check what impact set is being used in the weapons under "art and sound", if in this mod, the impact sets in the vanilla weapons that are being used are not the same as the vanilla weapons than that is the problem, the impact set, is set in the weapons not the projectile or arrows. The impact is what defines if something sticks to a target or bounces off, pretty much nothing else as far as i know, unless ofc, you change the collision layer on actors, which i find very unlikely. if it's np, just open up the mod in xedit or something and check what i'm saying. sorry if i wasted your time! Ok after reading a bit further on your comments, if it is not what i just said above, if things bounce off certain enemies and it might be related to their actual armor, than that means it could be one of 2 things, someone added an invisible armor that is covering the base body of all enemies in the game, unlikely, or the actual armor value is what determines what makes it bounce off, also unlikely, but in scenario 2, if a mod gave too much defence to characters, maybe that could be it. I-ban you because i still don't know when the I-Ban is coming out.. Please.. somebody make an a.i generated image on what this I-Ban is going to look like, i bet it's going to be a hammer with buttons that you instead of hammering and say "i ban you", you type really complicated commands, and need 4 or 5 hands at the same time holding the hammer, and some kind of physical motion to assign the ban, and even than it gets it wrong so you also have to talk at the same time. Also, when is that company gonna change it's fruit to bananas, it's been too long with the apples.

I have the activators where they are in the map. I just need help using xedit (geck is too complicated for me) to make it so these activators when clicked on teleports the player character to the long 15 or dry wells. The prerequisites I wish for it are 1.) the activators only appear once Lonesome Road is completed by using ED-E to stop the launch and 2.) The activators only appear with the Wild Wasteland trait. I need help scripting as I have zero knowledge on it, so if someone could write out the scripts it would be appreciated.
