The Minnesota Wild are a professional ice hockey team. They play in the National Hockey League (NHL). They play their home games at Grand Casino Arena in St Paul, Minnesota. The team entered the league in 2000.
They are the second team from the state of Minnesota to play in the NHL. The Minnesota North Stars were based in Minneapolis and played in the league from 1967 until they relocated to become the Dallas Stars in 1993.
