Jun Ichikawa

Jun Ichikawa is a Japanese actress, dancer, and voice artist who has built a distinguished career bridging the cultures of Japan and Italy. Born in Kumamoto, Japan, to opera-singer parents, she moved to Rome at the age of eight, where she cultivated her artistic talents in music, dance, and theater. Her early training included classical ballet and dramatic arts, leading her to perform in classical stage productions such as AGAMEMNON, THE TROJAN WOMEN, and ANDROMACHE.

In the past two years, she has taken part in a 200-date national tour of the theatrical production THE ILIAD – THE GAME OF THE GODS, alongside Alessio Boni, further strengthening her presence on the Italian stage.

Ichikawa’s film debut dates back to 2002, when director Ermanno Olmi cast her in the leading role of SINGING BEHIND SCREENS, a film that received numerous awards, including three David di Donatello and five Silver Ribbons. She has since collaborated with internationally renowned directors and artists such as Dario Argento (MOTHER OF TEARS), Giuseppe Tornatore and Geoffrey Rush (THE BEST OFFER), Ridley Scott and Al Pacino (HOUSE OF GUCCI), and most recently Peter Greenaway (TOWER STORIES, alongside Dustin Hoffman).
