Bookworm!

Hello friends!
I am finally recovered from my cruise and the 7 hour time difference! Oh! and laundry.....soooo much laundry!
I have 3 cards to share with you today using products from Whimsy Stamp's new release.  This adorable Bookworm is from the appropriately titled, Bookworm stamp set.  I did a no line coloring with Copics and a bit of colored pencil.  I stamped the sentiment from the new stamp set, Book Nerd, directly over the image in black ink.  I added the image to this cute Book Die and added the stamping to the spine of the book.  I wanted to add a bit of interest to the background without overwhelming it, so I used the Vintage Script background stamp in Tea Dy ink over a pale pink paper.  Everything was layered and I tied a bit of twine with a vintage button to finish it off.

My second card uses the same products except instead of the script background, I used the Tweed Cover Plate die.  I also added some leaves using vintage book paper and the Hibiscus Flower die set. I added  a little posy flower.

My 3rd card uses these gorgeous papers from the new Enchanted Mushrooms paper pack.  I cut out the portion of the paper I wanted using the Book Die and then stamped the sentiment directly over it with Versafine Ink and white embossing powder.  The purple background paper was a water colored piece I had in my stash and I sanded the edges a bit.  I ribbon was tied vertically to finish off the card.

I will have a few more cards soon using these sets! They are so much fun and slightly addictive. ;)
Have a wonderful day!

A Little Country

Howdy friends!
I am getting ready to go on an 8 day cruise and can't wait to take a break from life for a bit. :)
I wanted to share these cards today from Whimsy's last release.  The first card uses the Rocky Range and Pines Die set.  I created the scene and popped certain elements up with Crafty Foam Tape.  The cowboy is from the Range Riders Die set.  I made him look "rusty" using Grit paste, inks in brown, orange, and black and a bit of gold.  I added the fence, a sentiment strip and the frame was from the Mitered Frames Dies and paired it with the Cottage Core papers. The wooden stars have been a part of my stash I think forever!

My second card uses the image from the Cowgirl Life stamp set. I added a bit of color to her hair and shirt with Copics and cut the image out using the Wavy Pierced Rectangle Dies. I distressed it with brown inks and added another layer behind it using the Antique Frames Die set. I used the Cottage Core papers again because I love the rustic feel of them! Jute and fabric were tied horizontally to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a wonderful 4th of July my American friends! :)

Ocean Friends

Hello!
I have a couple of cards to share with you today using Whimsy Stamp's Ocean Friends stamp set.
My first card I created a shaker card using the Polaroid Die.  I stamped each image on a square and colored them with Copics.  I added water behind them using the fish using the Making Waves Stencil.  I added acetate behind the frame and popped it up using 3D Foam Strips.  I added some sequins, clear rhinestones, and clear mica flakes.  I added "water" to the outside of the frame as well.

My second card was created with the same set, but I did some masking and used my Prisma Colored pencils.  I did hand draw a bit of seaweed along with some that were stamped from the set.  I added water again behind the image and added some pink tulle to finish off the card.

Gopher It!

Good morning friends! I have 3 cards to share with you using this adorable new set called, Gopher It, by Whimsy Stamps.  The first two cards were done with Copics and the last card, I did a no line coloring, colored pencil technique. This first card was colored and cut out using the Wonky Stitched Rectangles Die.  The brown plaid paper is from the Cottagecore 6 x 6 paper collection.  I added this little paper clip from my old Stampin' Up days.  (It has to be VERY old! LOL)

This card was done the same way as above.  Same supplies, except I used a button instead of the paper clip to embellish it.

My last card I decided to do a no line coloring with colored pencils.  It has been a hot minute since I've done that technique! I ended up changing this little gopher's face a bit, not intentionally, but it ended up rounder and maybe a bit more bear like?  But I thought he was still cute, even if it didn't quite look like a gopher. ;)  Sometimes it's fun just to play.  I added a couple of sequins and called it done.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Too Hot to Haunt!

Hello friends!
Just a quick post to share this fun card using Whimsy Stamp's Summerween Scream stamp set!  It is such a fun set! Halloween and summer?  Yes!  This set is going fast and once it's gone, it's gone! I colored the image using Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut her out.  I added clouds to the background using the, It's Cloudy stencil.   I added waves for her to float in using the Making Waves Stencil.   The frame was created using the Wavy Pierced Rectangles Die

Summerween!

Hello!
I have two fun and quick cards to share with you today! Both cards were created using Whimsy Stamp's new Quick Card Fronts, Summerween! Even vampires and mummies need a vacation! LOL!
To add interest to the images I used the Wavy Pierced Rectangles Die set.  I popped the outer portion up with Crafty Foam Tape.  I cut the sentiment into a strip and adhered it vertically.  I added a few little embellishments to finish off the card and called it done.

Summer-ween!

Hello friends! Whimsy's new release is so much fun!  Take two of my favorite things and smoosh them together....summer and Halloween!  This adorable stamp set is called Summerween Scream.  I colored them in using Copics and used the coordinating dies. The Mermaid Scales stencil and clear embossing paste were used for all 3 backgrounds.   The cards were cut using the Mix and Match Scallop Rectangle dies. Image

This one is my favorite! Looking back, I wish I had used more "summery" colors.....next time! ;)
