With the crazy Canadian wildfire smoke casting a weird “colored”-grayness over the City today… I figured it might help to shake it up with a “pop” of fun floral colors! A collection roses & mums in one of my stamped & soda-fired square vases!

Doesn’t hurt any to have some fun rusty metal right there too…

I have several of these flowers in my front garden. I’ve always thought they were called “heliotrope”… but just recently learned I was wrong! I now believe it is actually “valerian” and it has such an amazing aroma with these blooms dancing on really tall stems. But when I came home from my bike ride this morning, one of the stems was broken and had fallen over. So I brought it inside, grabbed a tumbler and made this sweet little arrangement… and it STILL smells great!!!

Looks like my friend Rhonda has cut a few yellow flowers from her garden… some beautiful iris & a couple yellow peonies! Luckily, she had two of my square vases ready for simple arrangements. Thanks for sharing Rhonda… you know how I LOVE your yellow peonies!!!

After a weekend in my art fair booth, I’m hoping that these white lilies might have a few more days of “pretty” in them?! They still smell great… so that’s a good start!!!

What a wonderful weekend up in Minneapolis going to the ST. CROIX VALLEY POTTERY TOUR!!! We had amazing weather which only added to our amazing time! Hanging out with friends, seeing tons of beautiful pottery, chatting with some of my potter friends & “quite possibly” adding a few pieces to my own pottery collection! Allegedly…

Always a great time… and always on Mother’s Day Weekend. So if you didn’t make it this weekend… mark your calendar for next year. I already have… and I’ll see then you up north!!!
