Title: Meet Again for the First Time Category: ficlet Rating: G Word Count: 504 Spoilers: Alternate First meeting, completely AU. (The name of Lois' boyfriend is from "Superman Returns") Notes: Written for my little February Fic Fest thing. An "alternate first meeting" ficlet. Summary: A rainy day exemplifies Clark's less than sunny mood; until he meets someone who brings an unexpected light into his life. ( Day Six: Meet Again For the First TimeCollapse )

Title: Dedication Category: fic Pairing: Clex Rating: G Word Count: 536 Spoilers: None for the series (Canon-divergent) Notes: Written for my little February Fic Fest thing. Song referenced is "Wrapped Around Your Finger" by the Police. I chose it for two reasons: 1) the implication of an age gap between 'singer' and 'subject' and 2) literary references that seemed appropriate aimed at Lex. Summary: Destination is sometimes less important than the journey, as long as you get somewhere( Day Five: DedicationCollapse )

Title: Make This (White) House a Home Category: fic Rating: G Word Count: 1617 Spoilers: "In 'Stray', when Lex's father calls him back to Metropolis, Lex went. Years later, he and Clark reconnect... and find that destiny isn't something that can be forgotten." Lionel died after the events of episode 2.01 Vortex. Some spoilers for events that happened after that, but it's all canon-divergent after seasons 1 and 2. Warnings: Notes: Written for tallihensia's birthday and my little February Fic Fest thing. Summary: Every American should visit the White House at some point. Learn the history. Maybe meet the President, who will turn around and say, "Conner, I am your father” a la Vader (Conner has hopes and dreams, okay?) ( Day Four: Make This (White) House a HomeCollapse )

Title: A Shade of Gray Category: ficlet Rating: PG (innuendo) Word Count: 313 Spoilers: None for the series (Canon-divergent) Warnings: poorly drawn comparisons between characters from two different sources. Notes: Written for my little February Fic Fest thing. Martha and Clark and Conner, because I can. This is pretty meta for me. Summary: Martha is on page 10 when her brain equates Anastasia with Clark ( Day Three: A Shade of GrayCollapse )

Writing and Posting continues. This week's stories will show up in the True Love Fest at clexmas. I'll do a final round up, but if you haven't been following along, there are already some entries for 2015. I've collected the links to my first ones below: Challenge: Old Fashioned CourtshipTitle: ChaperonedChallenge: Blind DateTitle: Compromised 1/2 and Chaperoned 2/2Next challenge is: astrological (zodiac, chinese new year animals, etc) and for interested writers, feel free to check out the preplanning post and get a start on writing before the prompts are officially posted. * * *And one of the best parts about a long-running community: history. For more Clex true love, follow the True Love Drabble Fest tag and read entries from previous years.

Day 6 of my fiction fest isn't going to happen. I wasn't able to get ahead yesterday and today has been a bad sort of day, so I'm going to breathe deep and just plan on picking it back up tomorrow. I've got a couple things partly started, so I'm confident. Posting for days 7-14 will be at the clexmas community, because I'm a little cracked, but I'm not so broken as to think I can post simultaneous stories for an entire week and get anything else done. However... because I am trying to be at least more productive, here's a little bonus for the people who read on LJ. ( Read more...Collapse )Everything else I've been working on is relatively short and doing even a single line is likely to give away the entire fun of the story (or would be terribly confusing/boring for lac of context).

My schedule and time sense is just really messed up this week. I've gotten a day ahead on my Febff stories twice and then freaked out because I forgot I already posted and nearly panicked thinking I hadn't posted. I think it's a combination of restarting my writing life, something which was dormant for 2014, except for certain unposted things (like roleplaying spies) and the weather we're having in Michigan, which has led to being snowed in and out of work several days I would have been out and about and active. It's also been rather hard to keep up with the date for the same reasons. But I am writing and I'm super-excited. I am going to start going into other fandoms at the end of February (or later), when I've finished my clex-centric ficcing for the month. Upcoming: True Love Fest at clexmas Porn Battle Amnesty, with lots of prompts, including Clexy ones. One sequel to a previously posted fic One expansion for a previously posted fic Potentially a Big Bang Clex story, if I get my act together (it'll probably take me a couple years, really) And the real life update nobody asked for: Between my job, my nieces and youngest nephew, and my grandmother, everything is poop. It's a truth of the universe I didn't understand fully until last year. - Location:library by the river
- Mood:chipper

Title: Plaid Category: fic Rating: G Word Count: Spoilers: None Warnings: Lex is not exactly welcome in Clark's space, so his actions are invasive and stalkery from that perspective. Know yourself and determine if that's a problem. Notes: Written for my little February Fic Fest thing. Prompt from a list picked up somewhere a year or more ago was, wearing partner's clothes. Mid-rift, alternate timeline. Summary: Lex raids Clark's closet. ( Day Three: PlaidCollapse )Read at the AO3: Plaid @ AO3

Title: Life as a Novel in Progress Author: sue_dreamsArtist: fruitbat00Beta: tallihensiaWord Count: ~26,000 Rating: Teen plus (PG-13) Pairing: Clark/Lex with mention of off-screen Lex/Bruce Genre: slice of life with psuedo plot, supernatural romance, action Warnings: brief mention of bloodplay, potential dub-con scenario (full note on that at end of work) Spoilers: none, though there are allusions to the series Artwork: I pushed the limits on getting this story done, and unfortunately, fruitbat00 ended up having technical difficulties as I was overhauling the final draft. Artwork will be linked as soon as possible. Notes: Written for the smallvillebbang Smallville Big Bang 2013. Thank you to Tallihensia for a most fantastic beta. All mistakes are mine, but she's been a wonderful cheerleader and motivator, and her 11th hour notes and suggestions made this much better than I could have achieved by myself. There are additional parts available to read under the Author meets Alien tag. Links are also found at the end of this story. Chapters are all Clark PoV, prologue and interludes are Lex PoV. It should be clear, but if not... Summary: Clark needs a place to stay now that he's ready to leave the dorms of Met U. Lois apparently thinks her best friend Lex needs a live-in caretaker. Cohabitation with a stranger is difficult enough when Clark isn't falling in love with him, or at least he thinks that'd be theoretically true. Lex is guarded, his past troubled, and if Clark wants a chance with the enigmatic writer, Clark is going to have to take a chance on him. They can weather friendship with Lois, the neighbor's surplus of odd-tasting cookies, a potential stalker, and any amount of embarrassment over laundry, but those are all the 'normal' problems, and Clark and Lex are anything but normal. Fic posted on Archive of our Own.

I am changing details of my Smallville big bang, because I've had doubts about a particular thing from the moment I started writing it in (a year and more ago, when I actually started this story)... and now all I can do is laugh, because this story has always been cracky, but wow. There's just a certain point where the absurdity hits the right level and boom!, it all actually seems to make sense and work again. Oh, tallihensia and fruitbat00, I am so sorry, I love you, please don't hate me (and my cracky writer brain). smallvillebbang is going to be awesome. At one point this afternoon, I had the thought, "Given everything else in this fic and that I want to do with it, what if Bruce really could turn into a giant bat?" (I think I'm saving that for the sequel, though)
