Beneath Europa
Around the late 21st century, you are on your way to Jupiter's moon Europa with your crew for scientific research. Scientists believe our best chance of finding complex life is in the ocean beneath Europa’s thick ice surface.
After a long journey, you find yourself inside a dark, unknown ocean. It’s time to begin your research.
This is a short atmospheric exploration/adventure game where you pilot a submarine in the depths of Europa. Be sure to follow the crew’s orders!
Note: If you come across a bug/can't progress while playing please quit and continue from a checkpoint.

Got to say what a criminally underrated game this is! Sure it may be inspired by games like Iron lung. But this doesn't knock off from it. It has it's own unique premise which I adore. Exploring Europa trying to collect samples. Really terrifying for sure and quite well made. Especially during the one segment where you have to defend using your spotlight. Overall, solid work indeed! Made a video on it.

I was having goddamn chills all the time, this is awesome! Im wondering, does the game have multiple finals, or just the one with the alien sphere?
Apart from that, I totally enjoyed this game, even more than Iron Lung in my opinion. The only thing I would added is a quick, optional tutorial to help understand the systems, but they were pretty intuitive.

hey exiled can you make the Linux version of your game use OpenGL 3.3 it doesn't crash when I use Vulkan but when I use OpenGL 3.3 it crashes here is the logs in the replies

Well Yes, if Beneath Europa is you know/think successful on itch.io, and the players like it than do it dude, since it's an awesome game and also a lot of players are enjoying the game, then yeah, you should release it on Steam dude.
Really cool game, I think going to Steam would be a good choice and open it up to a bigger audience.
This game was incredible! It delved into my biggest fear of the ocean, and was very well structured! I got super scared of that encounter as it was very unexpected, great work!

I had a lot of fun with this game! 😁 Beneath Europa perfectly encapsulates the “spirit of Iron Lung”, while still staying true to its own original and engaging story line! I really think there is so much potential to workshop either a sequel, or build upon and expand the current game.
Overall, you did a fantastic job and I loved every minute of it (except for my sub exploding from hitting rocks 😆). Please keep up the great work! 👏
