Participation in Events Sponsored by Educational Institutions Sponsorship of Events in the Community designed to inform and Educate Members of the Public about Careers in Broadcasting. |
Jacobs Media hosted two interns during 2025. One from Brenau University. The other from the University of Oklahoma. Bill Maine emceed 4 free community concerts for the Believers Band (one per quarter). Bill Maine emceed the gala for My Sister’s Place, a shelter for homeless women. Bill Maine also emceed the Memorial Day weekend Midtown Music Fest put on by the Gainesville Rotary Club. Bill Maine emceed the community 4th of July concert and fireworks display on Gainesville’s Midland Greenway.We also participated in Knox Martin Foundation for Brain Cancer Research Golf Tournament. We broadcast from Marketplace, a large annual community event. Jacobs Media took part in the Greater Hall Chamber Annual Health Smart event assisting businesses in starting wellness programs. Jacobs Media also participated in the Greater Hall Chamber’s Business Expo as well as the Chamber Chase 5k, an event that brings local businesses together for a 2-mile and 5-k event. Our owner and CEO is involved with the local Kiwanis Club and participates and supports all of their local events. The Jacobs Media staff participated in the annual Gainesville Christmas on Green Street Parade. Bill Maine participated in the University of Georgia Job Fair. Jacobs Media participated in Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce. Jacobs Media participated in the Main Street Gainesville Association. Participated in Trick or Treat and the Jingle Mingle on the Square where we handed out candy, popcorn and prizes. |
