Jan. 15th, 2018 09:06 amMeme got me interested in ice hockey, funnily enough. I started watching the games and reading sports journalism and fan discussions, and really enjoyed it.
The more I learned about the game and the players, the less I was able to read rpf as original fiction, and I strongly dislike the way rpf fans talk about the players, so I can't engage with hockey fandom from that perspective.
I used to wish I could talk to meme about the sport, but after my favorite player was traded I haven't watched more than one game, or kept up with the news at all.
I kind of still want to talk about hockey, because it was my last great fannish passion, but I'm not sure how much I'd be able to contribute, or if I'd be able to rekindle my interest in watching the games.
