Hi hi, name's Aid (she/her)!! Close to my 30s, and pretty deep in the fandom/OC hole; me being on Tumblr since 2012 should speak for that (the horrors).

I'm primarily focused on just personal day-to-day yapping, crossposting my blog posts from Bear Blog, and talking about my own genshin OC (they/she) who has been eating my skull since 2021. Although my intro + blog posts are written with proper capitalization, I genuinely just tend to write normal posts with everything in lowercase. 😔

I post a lot, as a warning (at least for a slower DW standard I guess); I can do up to 2-4 posts a day if I’m bouncing ideas around violently in my skull.

Otherwise, I rarely do private posts (usually fandom rants, irl grievances, and so on) and/or 18+ posts (usually just ship centric yaps), they're usually a very minor part of my postings, but I'll mirror access if it's provided to me. I don't filter myself on here, so mature topics will come up. I'm pretty open to people subscribing and non-followers leaving comments, there is no expiry date on my posts! :D

I'm also in the oc/canon (or yumeship) sphere, and said OC kisses Zhongli Genshin Impact. For my own comfort, I am non-sharing in the form that I don't like seeing other (romantic) ships including him, so I just avoid any content with that, filter out tags, and sit in my own corner.

Otherwise, I don't have a DNI since they aren't useful to me.

yes!!! quite a number of them, though my fixation OCs have always ended up being my fandom ones bahaha. i'll pluck out a handful of them off my toyhouse which have been more used/my fave designs

(technically my other fixation OC did become fandomless, but his origins is still in fandom)

well she's technically part of a closed species, but she's had her own stories not tied to the bysmalbat lore for the most part. dating a fankid oc of yae miko and raiden ei which my friend writes LMAOOO. she's very much cute + bubbly but has had to live her whole life feasting off energy from other people to nurture her own existence (which does not make her happy)

one of my retired OCs based off my flight rising dragon, but i still really love his design and colour scheme. he's just a big bird dad peepaw. part of a family i wrote with my friend. his flight rising lore was centric around being the son of one of the dragon gods (alongside his twin brother) and his twin brother breaking his soul in two (which birthed his sons. in non-flight rising lore, they were just biological kids)

i ended up doing 3 days of catching up on my AMAs, i could also do today's but i usually dont like doing them late at night AUDSAHDAH weirdly to say, though i am rubbing my hands to do OC yapping for day 17th

i managed to hunt down my ff.net account, sadly i do not remember the password nor the email i used ... my old password i had saved in my phone notes from literally over a decade is not the right email. with stupid ff.net needing to do a google captcha each damn time you try to log in or reset your password, its not worth it right now to go through my entire list of emails

and the problem is some of those emails got nuked by google because they were old and unused ... so if its trapped on an old email ... i may be able to figure out which one it is and what my password couldve been (cause i did not used a variety of passwords back then), i could get in and maybe see if i can swap it to a new one, but otherwise just gotta manually scrape out my old fics

edit: FUCKK IT IS ONE OF MY DELETED GMAILS ... at least i know which email it is now, theres only so many passwords i did

i gotta get back to my asks ive gotten but ive been in absolute brain goop these last few days ... even now i feel like sludge. to be fair part of it was staying up till 3am playing ffxiv with a friend to get her back in the swing of things, part of it is just ... a general ... sapped energy in these last few days (part of my bird is breaking my sleep at stupid hours like 7am)

maybe its in part me fixating on stuff so it silly straws away my energy, in part doing job hunting and resume updating, in part juggling other things ... sighs. man i need a week to do fuck-all nothing if i could. or just two days maybe to let myself indulge in fun things and not worry abt jobs, or book stuff, or organizing things (as much as it is soothing to me)

it was actually included with about feed's info on RSS feeds!! you can find the xsl here for it ^_^

all you have to do at the top of your RSS feed is include this

this is the first time in my life i've seen the air literally be. yellow/orange outside ... and a wholeass 11 index of air quality which is the highest/worst it could be too ... we've had smoke come across our region before, but it was more like a grey haze in the sky vs this which is ... literally desert movie filter but irl, and that feels fucked up as hell

i wish i could take a picture but it doesnt get captured on my phone, it looks normal coloured through it, but to the human eyeball ... the inside of our house looks like the same orange tint as a sunset, but its Not

like i'm sure it'll clear up in a few days but that's kinda a bit batshit to really get the ugliness of the wildfire smoke drifting over us

AUGHHH picking just one is hard!!!!!!!!! i guess if i really had to choose a single one, it'd be Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint (the original translation, not the official english released one), mostly because i read that in literally ... like a week. 1.5 million words, insanely fixated to where i was reading it every waking moment i could, and losing hours of sleep to eating through it

it's hard to really summarize ORV aside from the fact it left a weirdly profound mark behind in me that is hard to put into proper words. ot3 on tumblr summarized it very well, even if the post is old and outdated now

kinda cycling back to this post i wrote about organizing as a refresher, i've kinda found a nice middle ground of organizing things and revamping things i was using before, like:

my job hunting spreadsheet, although catered to specific companies i wanna apply to (or end up applying to through indie job sites)
my dragon adventures spreadsheet of permadragons i wanna keep + their plans + themes
my carrd sales (migrated from notion)
my art, photos, and art resources tucked into tagstudio and beginning to organize them (there's a lot untagged, but i also can't say i'm like super running to do it)
game notes for long-term games like minecraft, ffxiv, genshin, and ... i guess dragon adventures lmfao
reorganizing my steam library collections to make it clear what games im focusing on, what's my comfort/mindless games, and what i wanna play next (or never will play)
a couple of flight rising organization spreadsheets i found and began using (partially revamping my quest trackers/project trackers)

... i know organizing is my answer for the chaos of my brain and feeling more put together, i know it's also a sort of memory bank if i need to remember something ... but some part of me wishes i started earlier with trying to put things back together in an organized sense. but truthfully, i can't say i've really needed it either until i ... need ... it

i always feel so weird playing roblox (cause dragon adventure IS a roblox game) as an adult but im literally only playing to either mindlessly idle and roll rng stuff or to fly around on a dragon or pretend eat sushi…

AUGHU its a bit hard because i've had so many ocs over the years, and even made them when i was little (4-6), but i don't have any real concrete memories

my webkinz when i was a kid also had personalities too, so those were technically "ocs" i gave stories to (to play out while recording on my shitty nokia phone LOL, a few are still on youtube under an old ass account. no im not linking them sorry im too embarrassed UAHDUASDHSA i recorded those when i was like 7-10 or something)

my first real ... hm, like it's weird cause i can have two i can technically use:

my self insert for kingdom hearts who was based off me, but acted more like her own character
my bleach oc who truly was the first "oc" i remember in full because she's been documented on deviantart, tumblr, and toyhouse

in terms of my kingdom hearts self insert i remember very little since all that information is basically nuked (gone from deviantart, scattered through notebooks and sketchbooks otherwise. i used to handwrite fanfics). she was basically also some part of organization 13 because she was shipped with roxas, but had some weird half-heart BS going on. i dont remember much else. she didn't like axel (massive F to past me, he's awesome) but basically joined the whole sea-salt ice cream trio

my bleach oc has a lot more to her, and even my old tumblr rp blogs from her are archived. she's also missing a lot of art because i lost a lot of my art/writing when i was forced to deactivate my devart account, but commissioned art and pieces survived in some way or another. she was my first full foray into the whole 'make a fandom oc that blends into the universe', partially out of fear of the whole mary sue roasting era, partially because it was fun to me to blend them in (vaguely gesturing to sylvie, and even my previous main oc initally began as a bleach oc that i ruminated on how to make him fit in)

so yeah, resu is the one i'd truly consider my first oc for the criteria of her being her own character, having art commissioned, fics written (which reminds me i need to archive my fuckass old ff.net fics i wrote for her, but i do not remember my email...), and being more solid in my memory

not really!!! i'm very much a 'i'll believe it when i see it in real life' person ... or if someone i trust tells me its true and they saw it with their own eyeballs LOOL

i'm usually skeptical of most things, but if someone else believes in things, i'm not gonna sit there and be like 'well ackshually ☝️🤓', to me it's interesting to hear people's ideas of superstitions and why they believe in it

… and hopefully this time it means i’ll get through some stuff bahaha. i think i was using last week as a chaotic organization/reset/pause from having people home all week, so this week i feel a little bit better to tackle some stuff

cleaning my room more thoroughly one day
doing a couple more job apps if appropriate jobs come up

actually i'm an afternoon showers person!! i tend to wake up too late for morning showers (noon), and i don't usually have time in the evening for it, so usually ~4pm is my normal shower time, or somewhere in the day range. when i lived in college i usually preferred evening showers, but that's because i was living by myself so i wasn't bound to people coming home and working my schedule around family dinners and what not

i just went through my steam library and tore down all of my old categories and made new ones to try to help ... to organize things? for the last few days ... err, maybe week i've been kinda going batshit on reorganizing many facets of my life

im naturally a scattered person and benefit from taking notes on long-term game projects, of having folders and tags to find things easily (artwork, art resources), of reducing friction for myself and my future self too ... so i nuked my whole steam library into like

current focus (games im playing and WANT to finish rn, usually a max of 3)
comfort games (either mindless, forever games, or comfort games)
started (games i began playing but paused, but would be open to picking up when done with focus games)
interested (games i'm interested in beginning, capped to 5)
finished (what it says on the title)
archived (games i either dropped, never planned to play but they were in a bundle, or finished and do not ever wanna revisit)

this is on top of my job search dashboard i remade, my carrd sales tracker, using tag studio to reorganize ... i think i've been feeling aimless in a way so this has kinda been some way to re-organize myself and try to help future me with some aspects like 'i dunno what game i wanna play'/'i dunno what to do'/'what am i focusing on right now?'

sucks it kinda has sapped my focus on socializing and doing other stuff LOL, but oh well, it is what it is

AUGHH AUHASD i've had SO many weird dreams that it's hard to really pinpoint a singular one; i sorely need to begin migrating my dreams off my phone notes to mirror into obsidian because i've been logging them since 2012, even if sometimes i only have one or two dreams a year i've noted down

like some i can yoink out include:

ace centric party with anime figurines on sale, including a castorice (star rail) figurine i wanted to buy LOL
some reason i was trying to distract caine from digital circus to help some people get out of a building???
school for dead kids and by that i mean them learning how to survive being 'dead' now (including myself). even though i for some reason turned into sylvie near the end???
casino hijacking but for some reason i was dressed up as my old main oc hideki?????

my dreams are very nonsensical 99% of the time so they're almost ALL weird as hell. i know one old one i had was going to a pokemon tournament with my parents, another was rolling slot machines but i was an angel??? why was there a random slot machine in the sky/cloud city...

i probably do. i very much do. the problem is remembering which ones i have because they shuffle around a lot or i say them without really thinking about it ... i also tend to be more of an echo-er, my friend on voice call tends to have more of the verbal stims/repeating phrases, and i tend to mirror it back to her when we talk and sometimes we just get stuck in a loop of repeating phases for a bit before one gets tired LOL

big bada boom from the fifth element is one i know i love to say LOOL, booooh-alllll as a mimic to 'Bhaal' from baldur's gate 3, 'go piss girl' (and probably a myriad of other memes or quotes that sponge into my brain. caddicarus is dangerous to me because he's funny and unfortunately here comes my son is stuck in my brain permanently. who is surprised he has adhd)

i also just make random noises sometimes. i also do have typing ...... 'tics'???? that come and go, sometimes i end up sponging something unintentionally like me using 'bahaha' in my typing, or now using the 🥀🥀🥀🥀 as a sad emoji (some of my tumblr mutuals have used it in that energy)

i got gifted this teaset from my friend who went to china to visit his family ... i still bought a second one w/an actual teapot to make it easier on me, but i wanted to use this one as well (i'll probably alternate, or keep this one specifically for ME to use if i wanna be fancy)

my tongue and thumb burn from the hotness of the water + holding the tea cup w/the lid to pour (and making a mess), but it was a neat process to go through making different infusions of the tea ... the green tea i had was kinda meh taste-wise for this (it peaked for like one or two infusions then just tasted more like water), so i'll probs stick to just doing a single infusion of that one, but i have a few black teas which might work better for gongfu + the tea i was gifted from him in the first place meant for this

oughh curse of the shitty memory strikes again when it's hard to associate memories to time ... like there's a few i CAN remember tho it is a little shoddy. some of them are more vague memories combined into one, rather than a specific memory

Spring: i dunno if this was in spring or teetering to summer, but one time i found a baby bird in the grass. like, naked baby, no nest nearby, nothing. poor thing, i ended up picking it up and bringing home and keeping it in a box with paper towels. waking up early to feed it, breathing warm air on it ... it was about a day or two until i managed to get in contact with a wildlife rehab someone was running who was willing to take the baby bird, and managed to bring it over
Summer: visiting the rollercoaster park we have nearby (as nearby as an hour is), i've been there a handful of times but i remember finally conquering my fear to go on some of the biggerish rollercoasters. definitely none that go upside down fully or have scary ass drops (i'd pee myself. not literally but im a scaredy cat for those), but definitely some that i was more anxious to go on, and i still remember the thrill of going on them and being so proud of myself
Autumn: nothing specific ... which is funny because my birthday is in November and falls in there. i always like fall for remembering the piles of leaves i like kicking my feet through and watching them scatter around, or crunching under my shoes
Winter: the vaguest memories of snowpants and making snow castles at lunchtime during school. trying to make snowmen ... winter is usually dreary and with a lot of snow, so my memories are sparse. sometimes vacations to places like cuba, since we went in winter months
