Symphony CMS

azurettaI've recently read about Symphony, a CMS which can be used like WordPress or Nucleus to run a blog or any other type of site you can think of. The coolest thing about it to me is that it is, as explained awesomely by River Jiang basically "more of a framework built on top of XML/XSLT than a CMS." I've been curious about XSLT (eXtended Stylesheet Language Transformation) for a while, but I didn't really have any use for it.
What I like about Symphony is thw workspace, which houses the site's entire layout--theme, pages and all. The only thing not there is the content. This creates some pretty awesome possibilities of use for me when I get roped into creating more websites for companys and organizations (I hate getting roped in, dammit.)
The only real hurdle that I see for using Symphony is learning XSLT, and being able to adapt that knowledge into actual application with Symphony to build sites. I'm going to need to free my mind a bit, which is always fun.^_^
Edit: Apparently, installing S ymphony is going to be a bit of a challenge, too. My ubuntu install seems to be missing a couple of necessaries. This isn't something that I can't get around, though, so it's not a problem. Just...uh...not today, since I've got a lot of work to do today which doesn't involve fun of any sort.
