It's all about the slash.
I tend to lurk. I try to leave feedback on stories I really like, but I admit to not doing it often enough. Sometimes if there is already a page full of comments on how wonderful the story is, I feel stupid putting in another "great story!". I tend to friend authors whose stories I really liked and would like to watch. I comment to be added if needed, but if I can get away with friending without having to say anything I will. I always feel awkward and goofy, and never know what to say beyond "I love your writing! Can I add you!".
