No King

 The next national NO KINGS demonstration is scheduled.

Speaking of NO KINGS:

• Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the younger brother of King Charles III, has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Police have not said what led to the arrest, but Andrew spent a decade as UK trade envoy.

• King Charles III said he learned of the arrest “with the deepest concern” and stressed that “the law must take its course.” Andrew is the first senior British royal to be arrested in nearly 400 years.

• Police previously said they were reviewing allegations that a woman was trafficked to the UK by Jeffrey Epstein to have a sexual encounter with Andrew, and claims he shared sensitive information with Epstein while serving as envoy.

• The former prince has denied all accusations against him and insisted he never witnessed or suspected any of the behavior of which Epstein is accused. He has not commented publicly on these more recent allegations of misconduct in public office.

How ironic that England, where they do have a king, has taken action all the while our Congress has been stifled getting to the truth of the Epstein cover-up by our American dictator and wannabe king and his corrupt minions.

Control Board Arrived (finally!)

After floating around for 12 days in the USPS system the control board finally arrived and I got it installed.

Once the cover was removed the disk drive was the next step.

 

The disk drive had to be moved out of the way to replace the burned out control board with the new one.

 

All is well and the Bose Wave is like new again and punching out tunes on the repaired first disk drive.

USPS is Abysmal

I have an older model Bose Wave radio with a CD drive and an added three CD drive deck.  Over time the CD player in the radio quit working and even though the three auxiliary deck players work, it would be handy if the top player also worked.  Here's a factory photo of what it looks like:

After some tinkering I came to the conclusion that likely the control board is defective.  Because of the age of the set new control boards are no longer available.  I did find a guy on ebay who refurbishes old control boards, including ultra sonic cleaning and new capacitors, so ordered one on last week Monday (the 2nd).  And that's where the control board USPS saga begins.

As I have commented in the past, anything that ships USPS ends up being a nightmare of bouncing and stalling all over the country.  It has been no exception with this wandering and stalled control board package.  I initially got notice that expected delivery was two or three days, which was after it sat for two days waiting for a USPS pickup. 

 

That kept changing and today the notice is that the package is stalled in St. Louis due to "weather conditions."

Seriously USPS?!  You can't move mail when it is in the 50's, 60's and even 70's!!

Clearly it's not life or death that I get this control board, but if FedEx (and even UPS mostly) can get a package from anywhere in the country to here on the farm in two or three days (mostly one or two with FedEx) why is USPS so abysmal?
