Music is very important to me. This is my last.fm page if you want to look into the music I like. But please use whatever you think fits, regardless of genre or my preferences. Vids make me love all* music.

* The only music not even vids can make me like is mashups. I would be thankful if you could skip those in your music selection process. :3

I use my letter to ramble about the stuff I like most in the source, it's not meant as instructions. I love vids of every kind, so go where the inspiration takes you. I don't think I have any triggers you have to watch out for in any of the sources I have requested. Okay, to be perfectly honest with you, I don't know what a vid for The Coding Train would look like. But I've seen so many amazing vids about non-fictional sources in festivids, I fully believe in you, dear festividder!

Daniel Shiffman is such a bundle of joy and excitement and distracted Professor vibes, I watch The Coding Train more to cheer myself up than to learn any programming from it. Honestly. xD So anything that captures his flailing, typo-producing, whiteboard-scribbling ways will be perfect. And also maybe a little bit about the pretty results that appear after three hours of gesticulating and typing. :D

I also love how agressively he rebrands what making computer art and creative coding look like. No hackerbros anywhere, just glitter and unicorns and smiling people riding a super rubbish cartoon train. :D

Wolf 359

I had never considered Wolf 359 fanvids before, but I saw it on the nominations list and can't stop thinking about it. So now I really want a Wolf 359 vid. It's also perfect timing with the show ending in December.

Mood-wise, anything and everything goes. I love the comedy, I love the horror, I love the drama, I love the bonding through despair in space. <3

Hera is my precious child and not to be dramatic but I would die for her. If you want something to focus on, my vote is for Hera! I also ship Hera/Doug, if you want to make something shippy. There was a time when I also considered Hera/Maxwell, but 1) that didn't end well and 2) the power difference doesn't work for me.

Or something structured around Pryce and Carter's Deep Space Survival Procedure and Protocol Manual would be hilarious!

If you'd rather focus on a specific part of the plot, I enjoy suffering and therefor love the episodes of Doug stranded in space. Or the episode where Maxwell is in Hera's brain trying to fix her. Or Minkowski vs Plant Monster. Or anything at all about Lovelace, the most badass of them all.

The Good Place

My sweet idiot children! I enjoy the heck out of this show, anything joyful or ridiculous would be great.

Chidi is my most favorite, I would love to see a vid about him. Or a Janet vid! It's also cool if you want to do ensemble or if you want to make a vid about the joy of being the bad guys in charge.

I love everyone in this very weird bar, so whatever you want to make, I will love it. Just as long as it is a vid, not a cactus.

Fa yeung nin wa (In the Mood for Love)

I think this movie is so incredibly beautiful, inside and out. I'd love something quiet and tranquil. The vid can be sad or heartbreaking if you want to do that, but you don't have to. The movie is so visually stunning, if you would rather focus on the visuals or the filming techniques it uses, then I am a-okay with that.

Hackers

Hackers is a loud, fast, over-the-top cheesefest, and I love it with all my heart. An ensemble vid would be cool, I love how they all work together to screw the government and defeat the ~baddie. Dade and Kate's competition is also hilarious.

I don't know if there is enough footage for it, but a vid about Phreak would be *amazing*. But I love them all so much. HACK THE PLANET!

Oh and I unironically and genuinely love 90s dnb, jungle, rave, whatever electronic music. If you want to stay true to the source in that way I fully encourage it.

Whitechapel

Just fuck me up.

(Can be in a Chandler/Kent way, if you want to go in that direction. But doesn't have to. As long as you fuck me up.)

Style Wars

Style Wars influenced me a lot as a teenager, it's a documentary that is very dear to my heart. These kids are wonderful and funny and talented and I'd love a vid that's a celebration of their culture – that can mean focusing more on the art or more on the people, however you interprete it.

Skeme and his mother are my favorite part of the documentary. But Dondi and Kase2 were amazing artists that died too young, a vid that focuses on (either of) them and their work would also be great.

Space Jam

I love the aliens when they're tiny, but I don't know if there's enough footage for a vid there. Well, if you've always wanted to make a hype vid for the villains, complete with origin story, now's your chance: Tiny space aliens turning into huge basketball playing Monstars! Hooray!
But if you don't feel the dark side, I get it. A vid about the Tune Squad or any specific character would be great!
