Mood Board On the Beach

Merry Christmas Chickadee

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Today I have two similar cards to add to my Christmas stash.

I pulled out an old favorite die for Donna's Sketch #744 at

Freshly Made Sketches

I fear that I took too much artistic license with this.  I hope that's okay.

I needed to put the strip on top because it would show through the vellum.  And I

think I'm missing a layer.  Oh well.  Hopefully it's close enough.  And I'm happy to

have another Christmas card in my stash. 

Actually it's two for my stash.  I did this one too while I was at it....

Both cards have snowflakes embossed in the background with white ink

patted on top.

I put a piece of vellum in the aperture, added a bird and berry branch.

The branch was cut from white cardstock and colored with Sharpies.  I added

some Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the berries for shine.  The chickadee is watercolored.

The gold bird was die cut from gold foil cardstock and embossed with my

Subtle Embossing Folder.

Wonderful Play

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

It's my second week of Guest Designing at Just Us Girls.  I was a bit perplexed

when I saw the prompt, but I think I've found a good fit.

Here's the prompt....

You can use this word however it inspires you.  I think this hedgie is playing

in the flowers.  He does look like he's having fun!

I've stamped with Copic friendly ink and colored with Copic Markers.  I just dabbed

a marker for the grass and lightly stenciled a cloudy sky.  He brings back memories of

playing in the wildflowers in the meadow behind our house when I was a child.
