Naty! What an awesome site you have and thanks for turning me on to it via your guestbook entry on mine. I’ve really enjoyed diving into your writing.

Thanks so much, Steve, for taking the time to check out my site. I hope to improve my writing as I continue to blog and have more variation and interesting posts like you!
Just found from Mastodon, cool IndieWeb initiative. Keep going, cheers \o/

Hi @hiscaro! I love your very retro themed site! The aesthetics is reminiscent of the old Internet days and has a vibe which is really cool. I also like your domain name portmanteau and the to-do page. Thanks for saying hi and supporting the IndieWeb! Hope more people jump onboard this wondrous train.
Stumbled upon your site and added to my RSS reader. Your light and dark mode switch is inspired, as well as the colour choices.

Hi Chris! Thank you so much for your compliment and I appreciate your readership via RSS. I like how clean and minimal your site is laid out (no header section, just an informative and logical footer with just enough information and links). There’s a lot to explore on your site so I’ve subscribed too and will try to check your posts more thoroughly in due course! I especially like your Digital Life section and your separate photo diary.
I discovered your blog recently, and I’ve been enjoying the content. I already got many ideas for my own Hugo website. Oh and I also love your theme! I’m now a proud subscriber :) Keep it up!

Thank you so much for your compliment! I think I will be saving this theme instead of overwriting it with my new redesign because TBH, I also love it. A theme switcher would be cool but I need to learn how to do that. Anyway, I like your site icon/profile picture, did you draw it yourself? I think you’re running the Blowfish theme—I use that too for one of my other sites. I enjoy your content too, especially your post on comments. Subscribed!
I’ve enjoyed reaching your Hugo content. It has been very helpful to building my own site!

Hi Ryan, thanks so much for your message. I’m glad it helped you. Your blog has a lot of articles that is my type of jam, I’m subscribing—and more street photography post please! 📸 I must get started on posting my shots too; web dev has taken over as my main hobby these days…
Your website is super cool! Not gonna lie, I will steal many of your customizations for Hugo :) I’d like to build a digital garden like this with indieweb features, but… who has the time? Anyway, amazing work for now! 🔥

Thank you so much for your compliments, Massimo! Learning IndieWeb implementations indeed takes time (especially for someone like me that doesn’t have a tech background). This blog is now my main hobby so I just find time for it somehow! I really like your links page with nice alternatives to Big Tech—something I feel strongly about. Also love the simplicity of your Hugo blog theme that is inspired by Bearblog? I’m in the process of updating mine; so hopefully you’ll still like it! 😄
I am honored to get to say a hello and send my appreciation for you and your site!

Thank you for your message, Joe! I’ve learnt a lot ever since I joined the IndieWeb community—appreciate your work a lot and for hosting the events and meetings.
Really nice web site. I’m a little envious that you’re able to blog from your phone. I haven’t had time to blog, but have been trying to update my site’s SSG to a custom one using Guile in Termux. Maybe looking at your awesome site will give me more motivation to finish it.
I also like that you’ve got webmentions. I see many in the indie web community turned it on for a while and then turned it off. I would like to add it to my site some day, so your site would be a good test if it works.

Appreciate your compliments, Arkdae! Love the vaporwave vibes from your site. I am very happy I got Hugo working on Termux indeed. Hope your custom solution works well. Webmentions are quite a nice feature, but it took a while for me to get my head around it. Setting up receiving functionality is very simple—so maybe try that first? Hope to get a mention from you once you’ve implemented it! Let me know if you run into issues; I’m no pro, but happy to help.
Thank you Elmar, for taking the time to sign my guestbook. It’s an honour for me to be in your detailed /blogroll (appreciate the shoutout!) I like how you used a cat icon for ‘categories’ and you got an uptime page—it’s cool! Your site is full of technical info, I shall look into specific categories like blogging, web-browsing, and network!
Hey Naty, I loved your blog the moment I saw it, and I’m glad we’ve become friends! So happy I met you and honoured to be an inspiration for your site, the same is true for me, guess I gotta implement my own guestbook now! ^^ Have a wonderful day! This is amazing.

Hey Joel, I’m grateful for our friendship! Your prolific blog archive is incredibly impressive—I like how you blog about everything. You really inspired me to grow my site into something more personal; not to mention, start my first #100DaysToOffload. (For those who don’t know, Joel has completed the challenge multiple times—4 times in fact.) I look forward to signing your guestbook page in the future, thank you for signing mine!
Hey, have been enjoying exploring your website! Keep on making!

Thank you, I just went to your site and it’s great—like a treasure trove! Need more time to check it out… I saw you mentioned about guestbooks too. Hope they’re making a comeback because they’re fun and connects people.
Very cool site! I especially like how you’ve set up the photo gallery, and how the photo pages look, especially with the carousel!

Cheers Reilly! It’s been really nice getting to know you in the Homebrew Website Club meets. I am quite happy with the CSS-only photo pages too, thanks! I’ll try to post more photo content.
Thank you, Zak! I just checked out your site—I really enjoy its simplicity. I’ve always wished I had a clean, text-first site like that, but I tend to get too caught up in all the possibilities of CSS. 😅 By the way, I love your content structure and lists (something I want to explore more in the future). Lastly, your Text-Wall is one of the coolest things I’ve seen!
Here first! Congratulations on setting up your guestbook, so lovely to see it’s now published! I adore your site’s aesthetics and weeknotes.

Thanks for the compliment, and for being the first, Zachary! Visiting your guestbook was the final nudge that pushed me to create my own. I really appreciate you following my weeknotes! They’re a lot of fun to write, hope they’re not too mundane!
Guestbook pages on personal sites used to be common in the dial-up era of the web. Visitors can leave a short public message, greeting or something interesting about anything related to the site as a whole (not post-specific). It’s a slash page I wanted for a long time—stoked to finally create one. As the webmaster behind BurgeonLab, I would be delighted and grateful to hear your feedback to improve the site!
