It's sad that I pretty much have to be depressed and looking for an escape to take a chance on watching stuff these days. That being said, Wynonna Earp was hella fun, at least the first season which is what Netflix has.
I love the way the characters own their damage and the way they don't pretend like vindication can wipe away the years of trauma. I also like that it's genuinely funny. I'd say it's the closest thing to a successor to Buffy that I've seen.
I'd definitely recommend it.

The problem with older fandoms is that so many of them were primarily on archives and through formats that have been abandoned. Plus a lot of the artists have changed names as they have moved to new locals like tumblr and deviant art.
I didn't know about the new channel but I will definitely check it out and spread the word. That's awesome.
