This is the least fun page on this website. Deal with it.

This website is a passion project of mine, made with a lot of love and attention to details, is constantly updated and improved, and has the goal of being lightweight and somewhat compatible with older browsers. (at very least most stuff works on iOS 15 and macOS High Sierra; which unfortunately a lot of people still use)

It does not use frameworks such as React—only Zola with handwritten HTML templates, and the (S)CSS is handwritten without the use of tools like Tailwind. One could argue that it would be much easier if I did, but I prefer to write everything myself to have great control over minor details. I also enjoy the process and I find it calming.

Nothing on it (except for some tiny JavaScript snippets, but even then it’s throughly reviewed and changed up) is “vibecoded”. All blog posts are written by yours truly, and all ideas are my own or inspired by other human beings.

Powered by a modified version of my Ametrine theme for Zola, which is not someone’s starter template but something hand-written by me that doesn’t use React or Tailwind or any other web or styling framework (it’s a common misconception, although I’m flattered). You might’ve seen a dozen other sites that look similar to this one, and well, yeah, that’s kind of the point of Ametrine (although “borrowing” all of my custom additons to it isn’t).

It is currently hosted from a 2010 PC in my bedroom [citation needed]. Before that it used to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, Vercel, Codeberg Pages, exozyme, and GitHub Pages.
