| Name: | Fortyskey (Jane Andrewson) |
|---|

Name: 'Fortyskey' (Real name: Jane Andrewson, but she doesn't exactly blab this constantly, seeing her undeath as a sort of 'rebirth')
Series: WORLD OF WARCRAFT
Age: At time of Death: 19ish, it's been a few years since (The Warcraft timeline is sketchy at best, she was killed and raised when Arthas plowed through Lordaeron and Silvermoon, and freed a while before he was defeated)
Build: As a Forsaken, she's already scrawny and bony, but even in life prior to this, she was. Dying hasn't really helped matters, nor has the subsequent resurrection. Seriously, 'ninety pounds soaking wet' applies to her extraordinarily well.
Hair Color and Style: Black, messily straight.
Eye Color: Glowing yellow (Blue in life)
Race: Forsaken Undead (formerly human),
-Notable racial traits: Near unlimited stamina, and hey, she doesn't need to breathe! She's also lighter weight as a result as well, though. She also has an incredibly high willpower. While she's light weight, she's durable as hell. Particularly as a higher level type of ex-Scourge. While she can't take Death Knight levels of punishment (she doesn't have nearly as much innate passive regeneration, Forty's is an 'active' form of regeneration, requiring food or corpses to eat to recover from serious damage), she can survive quite a bit.
Although she might not be too happy about it...
Affiliation:
-Officially: The Horde, The Forsaken/Undercity
-Personally: Largely neutral so long as you don't try to kill her. Largely by virtue of not really giving a fuck about you or your war. She supports Sylvanas, just from a safe, safe distance and only marginally in pride for her people.
Class: Warlock, (Mage when it's inconvenient to admit warlockyness)
Languages: Gutterspeak, Common, Orcish
Personality:
Bitter and a little cynical in regards to the war between the Horde and the Alliance (and more than a little cynical about a lot of other things), Fortyskey prefers to avoid the conflict and find her own path in the world. She doesn't really hate any of the races of either faction, and tends to judge on a more personal level. She operates as a kind of loose mercenary, working for various factions within the Horde to keep herself occupied.
Fortyskey is largely practical about her state of undeadiness. Largely because she knows she can't do a damn thing about it, and sitting around bitching and moaning about it certainly won't get anything done. Life as a general rule doesn't offend her, though getting preachy about it does. Druids tend to annoy her for this reason.
By and large, however, Fortyskey is unfortunately more than a little bit of an ass. This is primarily because her main social defense is to be abrasive to others to avoid being hurt or attacked, since it's 'what's expected' of a Forsaken Undead (though she wasn't exactly stellar miss social while alive either). Despite being both that and a Warlock, underneath the several hundred metric tons of spikey, assholish behavior, Fortyskey is a (somewhat) good person. If one stick around past the bitchiness, one'll probably see hints of this (although she'll protest it and loudly so, she has an image to keep).
Fortyskey's not explicitly cruel to the various demons she summons (largely the Imp (who she treats the worst, up to and including using him as a projectile), Felguard, Succubus, and Voidwalker), but how she treats them varies with her mood extraordinarily.
Other Notes:
Being Undead, despite the mechanics of the game she hails from, holy magic stings her like a motherfucker, even when it's healing and repairing her. She cannot be brought back to true life, any attempts to revive her once 'killed' simply restore her to her current, undead state.
She's also not very physically strong or imposing, nor a good fighter in melee range. Though she usually carries some form of dagger somewhere on her person.
Fortyskey commands a wide variety of curses, shadow, and fire magic. In addition to this, she can summon and control various demons to do her bidding. While not explicitly cruel to them, the way she treats them varies with her own mood. She specializes in destructive fire magic. Which is a very distinct, fel-green color and tends to smell of the horrid combination of brimstone, sulfur, and burning copper.
She's also a passable tailor, though this tends to extend as far as attempting to repair her own clothing, or at least make it look some kind of vaguely decent on her.
She can feel touch and physical contact, but temperature escapes her for the most part until it starts to be painful. She doesn't need to eat, though consuming food and/or undead/humanoid flesh speeds up the healing process the magic goes through the maintain her current existence.
Mystically: Dark magic abound and very clearly undead and wrong in existence.
Scientifically: Dead. Yet still walking! She's a human corpse in surprisingly good shape otherwise.
Psychically: Fortyskey, by virtue of resisting the scourge and Lich King's will, is extraordinarily resistant to most forms of mind control. Aside from this, she's got no psychic shielding, but her mind's an unpleasant place to go rooting around in, and her own willpower makes her aware you're poking in her head--even if she's not aware of who's doing it, she knows someone's poking around in there. And this will usually result in some rather nasty surface thoughts.
---
Fortyskey and at least part of her concept are mine. Her race, the world she hails from, and the history of said world are not, those're owned by Blizzard Entertainment. Any other characters or references are owned by their respective owners. This is a Roleplay Journal for roleplaying on the internet. Maybe I'll throw her into a proper game at some point, I don't know.
---
Redoing this journal with the Warlock version of her, which I've found I prefer. Mun and character are both over 21.
