Without inclusion, there is no excellence: finding a collective vision for our Faculty
We are dedicated to promoting an inclusive campus culture that respects and values differences, ensuring that all members – students, faculty, and staff – feel welcome, safe, and empowered to thrive.
Indigeneity represents the profound connection to land, culture, and heritage of Indigenous peoples worldwide. We acknowledge and celebrate the richness and diversity of Indigenous cultures, histories, and traditions that have shaped the very foundation of our society.
MePLUS (McMaster Equitable Pathways to Learning University Sciences) is a 10 month-long outreach program that offers science workshops, mentorship, and personal and professional opportunities to youth from equity-deserving groups, including Black, Indigenous, and LatinX high school students in Hamilton catchment and surrounding areas.
The Office of the Associate Dean, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Indigeneity is committed to engagement, learning and advocacy that centres on the richly diverse heritage, age, abilities, life trajectories, religion, race, sexual orientation, gender identity and expressions of our students, staff and faculty.
Are you a student from an Equity-Deserving Group and have questions about student experience and support? Aaron Parry, Access and Outreach Coordinator, is available to connect with YOU!
We welcome students from EDGs to attend Drop-In hours on Fridays from 12pm-5pm in BSB 112, or book a 1:1 meeting with Aaron.
