My name is Erick Schmidt and I live in south central Pennsylvania. I became a huge bonsai enthusiast about 3-4 years ago. Most of my spare time is now consumed by my bonsai hobby. I have been all over the web looking at other blogs, websites, videos and such so I can gain as much knowledge as i can on bonsai. I will use this blog as a way to share my bonsai interest with the world along with some other odds and ends periodically. I hope that I can give everyone an idea of what it is like being involved with bonsai in and around the state of Pennsylvania, USA.
I am at most an amateur when it comes to dealing with bonsai. My whole intent of this blog is to promote the bonsai interest around where I live and to give anyone who is interested in bonsai but unsure of what to do or how to get started some inspiration. I mean after all, Im basically just starting myself 🙂 Please feel free to reach out to me through comments or my email if you have any questions I may be able to help with. Thanks again for your time.

Hey Chuck.. great blog! My name is Lenny and I have a just acquired a new tree that I would like to bonsai. I did some research and found that your Tiger Eye Sumac is extremely close to my tree. I am very much a novice and would love to talk with you about suggestions for this tree. If you could contact me, that would be great.
Sorry Lenny for such a delayed response. I have been on a short break from my blog and have not been able to reply. Fist my name is Erick, not Chuck, and I would be glad to assist you with any questions you have regarding bonsai and about my Tiger Eye Sumac 🙂
Erick,
Thanks so much for getting back to me! Sorry for the name mixup. I have a tiger sumac that is similar to yours, but with a thinner trunk. If I send over some photos, think you could suggest care and training tips?
Absolutely. Send them to my email at eschmidt1979@comcast.net. I will take a look and hopefully be able to give you some tips/info and answer any questions you have 🙂
Hi Erick, just to let you know that your website has expired and is about to be cancelled (there was a notification that popped up when I visited your blog). Cheers, David (New Zealand).
