I like the Netflix Avatar show just fine.

I don't think it's perfect and it certainly has it's flaws, but for the most part I'm enjoying seeing what it takes from the OG and what it adds as well. I just find that interesting.

But I am so amused by all the Zutara shippers who are max-glazing the show because they legitimately think it's going to give them Zutara-Canon, even though everyone involved with the show has said that's not going to happen, and when the ship doesn't happen I can't wait to see all the meltdowns about how the show is actually terrible and was terrible all along just because they didn't get what they wanted.

Maybe watch the show because you think it's fun and not because you think it will give you a ship you want? Crazy idea I know.

I think Olivia Rodrigo is making a massive mistake trying to color-code her albums ala Taylor Swift. The purple of her first two albums is well on its way to being iconic, and she shouldn't be throwing away such strong brand representation.

I recently rewatched an old fave, Romancing the Stone, and I was surprised how well it had aged. I'd forgotten how hilarious it was. And I love that it's technically a romance, sure, but it's fundamentally about a successfully established woman who's forced to come out of her shell, who beats the bad guy by herself in the end and discovers the depth of her own strength. It feels like a rare gem (haha) from an era that gave us Overboard and Die Hard.

Half the reason I check Steve's channel is to see if he's eaten something horrible and died yet or not.

He hasn't, at least as of this post.

To be clear I don't want him to die, I worry that he will!
