I wish the same, but it's going to happen. If people don't like the show/the actors/something about it, they'll shit on them no hesitation. It wouldn't matter if it was a literal toddler, people would bully the toddler. People were horrible to the kid who played in the Star Wars prequels, they will be horrible to anyone involved in something they don't like or don't want or whatever.

If nobody is going after the kid playing Aang, someone who cannot act his way out of a wet paper bag, then I doubt fans are passionate enough about Netflix's A:tLA to bully anyone from the cast.

I didn't get this either. I saw this when it came out and I thought she was fine? Later on when I saw it was kind of a meme online I didn't understand it. She was a child freaking out over crazy shit happening.

But, then again, people always have a lot to say about how a girl/woman is behaving if they think she's being too much or not acting appropriately. One time there was a video on Reddit where some people were driving on an access road that ran alongside an elevated highway, and a car literally drove off of the highway and smashed onto the road in front of them. There was a woman in the car who was screaming and Redditors had to insult her and bitch about how loud/annoying she was. Like, a car literally just fell out of the sky and landed on the road in front of them. If they'd been just a few seconds ahead, the car would have fallen on them. I think she was totally justified in losing her shit.

I haven't seen this since it came out in theaters. I loved the movie. I thought it was one of Tom Cruises's better roles, and Dakota Fanning's screaming seemed valid to me.

I think Dakota Fanning unfortunately *just* missed the "right place/right time" mark to get the same kinds of roles as her sister and has been punished for the screenwriting and direction at the time she was the relevant age.
