Crossovers are one of my favorite tropes ever. It's like having your cake and eating it too. I love Alternate Universes, and crossovers are the ultimate AU!story — an easy recipe to create brilliant fanfiction that give you the best of two worlds:

1) Pick two or more canon universes
2) Select characters, world building, story line and/or background from those canons
3) Shake, do not stir

MCU + Suits = Sidekick by closer
The one in which Mike turns left instead of right and ends up at the job interview to become Tony Stark's personal assistant instead of Harvey's associate.

MCU + Harry Potter = Hogwarts: A (Marvelous) History, or: Thor and Loki's Excellent Adventure by altilis
The one in which Loki and Thor are on vacation in Midgard and decide to stay to help Rowena and Helga teach magical children. Best. Founders!story. Ever.

White Collar + Fringe + Chuck = Intelligent Designs by auborn
The one in which Neal Caffrey and Bryce Larkin look exactly the same for very complicated fringe reasons. Awesome from beginning to end.

SGA + Terminator = Mona Lisa Box by tzzzz
The one in which Rodney McKay helps create Skynet without meaning to. One of my favorite SGA McShep stories. And the ending is sheer brilliance.

Fast&Furious + X-Men = The Next Quarter Mile by astolat
The one in which Brian turns out to be a mutant. Then again, Dom and Mia are mutants, too. Action-packed and fun to read.
