Welcome! We are the Gestalt System. This is our journal space, where any and all members of our collective are welcome to gush, vent, and do anything in between. We are overall a pretty private bunch, so you'll find the majority of our content will be access list only. Feel free to request access; we won't be super picky with who we add, so long as you also consider yourself/ves under the plural or alterhuman umbrellas somehow. However, for safety reasons, we probably won't add you if your journal is completely blank, or if you're under 18, as we are all adults.
Please comment on this post if you'd like to be added!
That about sums it up for now. I'll be sure to update this post with more information as we go along.

Apr. 14th, 2022 10:47 amWelcome. This is Fray of the Gestalt System. You might have known us from Tumblr, where I... recently went through and mass-deleted every entry on our shared blog due to paranoia over the current state of intracommunity discourse.
Yeah, oops. Call it an overreaction, but hey, at least it gave me some small peace of mind. Of course, that peace came at the cost of losing everything we'd written about our system over the past six months. Now, in the scheme of things, six months of content might not seem like a lot; after all, we've been a system for approximately twenty years at this point. But considering that, prior to the creation of our Tumblr, we had never allowed ourselves to write more than a single word about our system lest we be immediately discovered and forced to turn our shared brain inside out for all the world to see... you can understand that it feels like a significant loss of, shall we say, system lore. Unfortunately, what's gone is gone. It's not coming back. And also unfortunately, my general terror over the mortifying ordeal of being hypothetically known has not subsided to an extent where I would feel comfortable speaking as candidly as we once did in public.
So that's where DW comes in! I've never really gotten the hang of Dreamwidth-ing, but I would really, really like to. I've always appreciated the privacy features and ability to vet who is able to see and interact with your content, so I'm hoping we can strike a balance with what we post and maybe, just maybe be even more open about our experiences. I've really missed talking about the way our system works. My system has really missed broadcasting its shenanigans to our audience of ~30 Tumblr followers (quite a few of whom are part of the same system). I am hopeful that I can put my paranoia to rest for long enough to establish a sense of safety online again. Thanks for reading, and we're glad to be back (even if in a somewhat more limited capacity than before)!
Hi. This is Kier, chiming in with a few corrections/clarifications. I just wanted to clarify that nobody threatened us or anything. This was just something Fray decided to do in response to growing hostility within the Tumblr system community, which I get. I don't feel one way or the other about it, honestly. I'm a big believer in new beginnings, and if it makes Fray feel more safe, I support it. I miss our mutuals, but I feel confident that we will re-enter the Tumblr sphere at some point - even if, like Fray said, in a more limited capacity. For now, I look forward to posting here.
