Summer weather is in full swing. I’ve been living my best life: barefoot, shorts, a t-shirt.
We’re actively house-shopping in coastal RI, looking to move somewhere that’s both more aligned with our values and where I can walk or bike more and drive less.
The house-hunting process sucks, especially in a low-inventory/high-demand area like where we’re looking. On a positive note, RI house prices are lower than MA where we’re moving from, so the math works out OK.
Cleaning and organizing the house we’ve lived in for 13 years is also slow and time-consuming. This whole thing is a process.
But we’ve been spending a lot of time in the town we’re hoping to move to, and every single minute there reaffirms that it’s the right move for us. The smell of the ocean, the friendly people, the amazing food, and tons of art, culture, and outdoor activities all reachable on bike or foot!
We should have done this years ago, but right now is better than tomorrow!
