This is the official website of the SNF-funded project “Higher-Order Metaphysics: Foundations, Applications, and Hyperintensional Developments”, based at the University of Geneva.

Although higher-order metaphysics has attracted increasing attention in recent years, several aspects of this approach remain insufficiently developed. In particular, the foundations of the higher-order framework remain to an important extent shaky, the motivations for endorsing it are far from being clear, and its applications have largely ignored hyperintensional phenomena. These are, we contend, important shortcomings in the development of the higher-order framework. The project is meant to rectify these shortcomings.
