Getting Started at Humber
Here are some important resources that every new student should check!
Community and Belonging
Belonging looks different for every student. Humber creates space for connection, identity, and community in ways that reflect the diversity of its learners.
Students can find community and support through spaces and initiatives that honour lived experience, identity, culture, and personal growth. These include support and engagement opportunities for Black students through Black Student Support & Engagement, Indigenous learners through Indigenous Education & Engagement, and LGBTQ+ students through the LGBTQ+ Resource Centre.
Students from around the world connect and receive tailored support through the International Centre, while peer-to-peer connection is strengthened through Peer Mentorship programs. For students seeking reflection, meaning, and holistic wellbeing, the Spirituality and Wellness Centre offers inclusive spaces that support personal growth.
Clubs, Leadership, and Athletics
Clubs, Leadership, and Athletics
Life at Humber offers many opportunities to get involved and build community beyond the classroom. Through IGNITE, students can join clubs, attend events, and take on leadership roles across a wide range of cultural, creative, academic, and social interests.
Athletics are also a key part of campus life, with opportunities to compete as a Humber Hawk or stay active through recreation and fitness programs that support balance, wellbeing, and school spirit.
Health and Well-being
At Humber, students are never expected to navigate challenges on their own. Dedicated health and well-being services are in place to support students through every stage of their studies, whether they need guidance, care, or connection.

Humber is determined in creating a respectful, safe, and inclusive environment for everyone. Through Campus Safety – Department of Public Safety, students have access to resources that promote well‑being and security across all campuses. The Office of Community Standards upholds Humber Policies and supports students in understanding expectations related to conduct, Human Rights, and community accountability. Together, these services help ensure that every member of the Humber community can learn and thrive responsibly.
