2020 was the year we retired, sold the house in Texas, and moved to Bellingham, Washington (an epic five-day car trip across the country, with the two dogs in one car and the three cats in the other)!
It was also the first year of the pandemic. We were planning to move in the summer of 2021, but by the end of August, we decided it would be safer to move during last fall than wait any longer given the Covid-19 rates (and the anti-mask attitudes) in rural Texas. So we did.
We still can't believe me made it: arrived in Washington October 23, and have been settling in and unpacking every since. I've gotten just about everything except for filing and picture hanging. I've started being able to write again which is such a relief.
