An introduction
Feb. 8th, 2013 08:52 amWow, am I actually putting a second post up? Unthinkable!
Here is a picture of the most populous area, Crystal Isle, household-wise at least, with 3 families, as well as a restaurant, public forum, and toy shop.

You cannot quite see all the buildings, but the rest of the area is rather bare so far and would make an even more terrible picture. One of the families is building a fortified compound, but they have virtually no money yet, so that lot looks silly.
I've been spending time getting families established (none of the homes really look how I want them in my head), if I didn't have Almighty Hat's aging mod (love this mod, it is so much nicer this way!) some of them would be elders already. I'm on my seventh rotation (starting with one family and adding one family each rotation). I use one season as the rotation marker, because otherwise I would forget for sure.
There has been a population explosion in my hood (the various elves and fey are taken by surprise by their unhindered birth rate in this new world). Despite the fact I have random twins, triplets and quads (such a fun hack!) set to really low levels (3%, 2%, 2%), I've had two sets of triplets and four sets of twins already. I blame the forest lord and his sidekick the satyr for that, they are a bad influence.
Birthday parties are popular then:

The lady with the wings and the wild child is the founder. She has managed to unlock community lots (I ignore the townies part, it doesn't fit my game world of new arrivals so much), and would probably have political unlocked by now if she would stop having children. I don't mind though, all her kids are adorable and also have personality quirks.
Now for some gratuitous elves:

The toddler pictured is destined to become a great wizard, she will become a child in the next rotation I think.

Before being pulled through the magic portal and being deposited in a crazy world, this elf was a king. Now apparently he is so short of entertainment he puts his few possessions on snowmen for fun. Luckily, he is an easygoing sort of elf.
See you next time, should anyone find this even mildly interesting.
