juniper617 is not your stalker
Dec. 27th, 2014 12:58 amA couple of years ago I was accused of engaging in harassment-level arguments on a fan board, and then, I guess, basically stalking my imaginary victim back to her (public) journal to continue upsetting her. I think that's more or less it; it never actually happened so you can see how I might be a bit fuzzy on the details.
Here's the thing: I've never, ever visited a fan message board for White Collar or any other fandom. I barely know what one is. I honestly don't care nearly enough about any aspect of any fandom to expend my VERY limited energy getting in fights with strangers. That I did something like that is a ludicrous suggestion (although my grown children found the idea of Mom as Crazy Fandom Stalker hilarious). I did in fact leave a comment on a fic on her journal (having found said journal through a Big Bang site) and I'm sorry if it upset her. The upset appeared to be based on my having said something mildly critical about the canon version of a favorite character of hers. I wasn't really aware that this was a thing people get upset about. Maybe added to whatever the people on the message boards -- again, NOT ME -- had said, it seemed harsh. I wouldn't know.
I also don't really care enough about what total strangers think of me to have bothered protesting my innocence. I could have lived without the condemnatory private messages a number of her followers were moved to send me, but whatever. I'm several decades past being willing to argue with anyone on a "Did not," Did too," level. Also, I figured it was OVER, and that people would move on to their next real or imagined crisis.
So why am I bringing it up now? Because, apparently not. It very recently came around and hit someone from my real life, who had mentioned me in passing (by my LJ and AO3 username) in an on-line conversation, and was immediately treated to a version of the above-mentioned events. That, I do in fact care about. I'm posting this in a couple of places and if it reaches anyone acquainted with this particular pile of bull, please just KNOCK IT OFF. I'm NOT your girl, and I have had enough.
