I’m Heather and I live in Portland, OR.
I started this blog in 2009 when I bought an abandoned house that came with a lot of deferred maintenance and a hammer in the kitchen drawer. I live with Greg and our extremely good girl, Beezus.
Somewhere along the way I fell in love with grasses, then agaves, then mahonia, then palms and fuchsias. My current obsession is begonias and bromeliads.
