I mentioned in my last entry that I was getting back into playing Core Keeper. I tend to have a lot of trouble sticking to one world in sandbox games, or playing too much and getting burnt out. -.-;
Because of such I tend to just go "well its been 4 months since I played, time to make a new world!" repeat x infinity...
But I'm trying very hard with this one! I've even done something crazy! (For me anyways...)
DECORATE
(suspenseful sfx sting!)

My crafting room looks good, but trust me, the storage is a disaster zone!
The very real attempts to decorate and try and make things look good has been a rough process. Sometimes boring too... But taking my time with this world has been nice. I especially wish to see this world through (its called 'Fugue' by the way. But it could be better.) because before this, I hadn't played since the game hit 1.0! And they had a content update 3/10/25! I didn't notice because I was quite busy playing Fields Of Mistria that week... oops!
But I always enjoyed my time with CK... And recently realized I packed about 40~ hours into it's early access. It's VERY weird to see games I played exclusively in early access finally hit glorious 1.0. I'm definitely not complaining though. (Though I can't help but feel old sometimes...)

I even made my player character, Hacker, a house! Unheard of for me!
I hope to decorate my home-base more. There's always so much to do, but that's a good thing.
A future handful of goals include remaking my NPC's homes to not look like shoe-boxes. That was always a hurdle for me in Terraria as well... Though I can't chit-chat with NPCs in CK unlike Terraria, so my motivation for that is low.

At least THIS shoe-box has a nice view of my garden.
Another thing on the list, albeit much lower, is to spruce up my pasture. But there's several cattle in game I haven't found to take home yet. There's no rush but it'd sure be nice! While on an excursion yesterday, I brought cages to pick up the loose Stroly Polys that were wandering the rock caves. I had named a lot of them on my initial explorations for fun.

I picked stinky up too. Safe and sound.
But when I found the first one and picked it up in a cage;

me when i....i shant say
The goal of today's session however is to explore certain beginner biomes a little deeper. I may have rushed through some because of my previous game knowledge. Yet it feels that going back to the early game stuff shows apprehension in getting into mid-late game... As long as I'm having fun I suppose...

The pasture is thriving, but I doubt they'll win any blue ribbons.
