Glass Vessels of Ancient Egypt

It is believed that Egyptians were among the firsts to use glass, as fas as 2500 B. C. The glass of ancient Egypt was very colorful, the result of their craft was very stunning. I love the iridescence of these vessels.
Isis: Egyptian Goddess of Fertility, Love and Magic
Isis is the greek name of this goddess, her Egyptian name was Aset or Ast. Her hieroglyphic name incorporates the sign for a throne, which Isis also wears on her head as a sign of her identity.
She was a major goddess in ancient Egyptian religion. She helped the dead enter the afterlife. Through her relationship with her son Horus (Sky god), she came to be seen as the epitome of maternal devotion. Her maternal aid was invoked in healing spells to benefit ordinary people.

Ra: the Egyptian Sun God
Ra is the ancient Egyptian Sun God, he represents sunlight, warmth and growth, and was revered as the God who created everything.
About his apprearance, Ra was usually depicted in human form with a falcon head crowned with a sun disc which is encircled by a sacred cobra named Uraeus.
He was considered the creator of everything, and something interesting is that humans were created from Ra’s tears.

Bastet: Egyptian Cat Godess
During the ancient Egyptian history, this goddess was represented as a lioness or a woman with a lion or a desert sand cat head. Later in the New Kingdom, she was changed into a cat, so she was transformed from a lioness warrior deity into a mainly protector cat deity, exclusively associated with the domesticated cat, although she retained her war-like aspect. She personifies the fierce power of a lioness as well as the grace, playfulness, cunning and affection of the cat.
Cats were revered highly in ancient Egypt due to their hability to hunt vermin, protecting by this activity the crops. So she was considered a protective goddess, and was also regarded as a good mother, due to the protection and tenderness that the cats give to their offspring.
In Bastet temple, her priests kept sacred cats, which were considered to be incarnations of the goddess, so when they died they were mummified.
