She thinks of herself as more of an essayist than a blogger, because she is old-fashioned and grumpy. Also, ‘blogger’ still sounds like something one would pull out of a left nostril.

Thanks for writing. I enjoy reading it. I read your article about being pretty. I’m transgender and, not sure why, but I seem to feel a need to say sorry if that offends. Being transgender I feel a draw to and happiness when I feel pretty. I want to be pretty inside too. I am struggling to figure out if liking being pretty outside is bad or vain, but reading your article at least made me feel not so alone in that. Thank you.
