Her site Maxisms (https://maxisms.wordpress.com/) contains personal stories and a collection of precocious, snarky, and hilarious conversations between herself and her children. She thinks of herself as more of an essayist than a blogger, because she is old-fashioned and grumpy. Also, ‘blogger’ still sounds like something one would pull out of a left nostril.
I love reading your writings! You hit the nail on the head with so many of the things you observe. You have a very special family, enjoy!
I don’t think I can ever think of myself as a ‘blogger’ again without a faint sense of unease after reading this. 🙂
Just make sure to keep some tissues with you at all times…
The family 🙂
Hello there! I just wanted to say that I find your content insightful, fresh, and interesting!
Thanks so much for taking a look!
Hello Racheal,
Thanks for writing. I enjoy reading it. I read your article about being pretty. I’m transgender and, not sure why, but I seem to feel a need to say sorry if that offends. Being transgender I feel a draw to and happiness when I feel pretty. I want to be pretty inside too. I am struggling to figure out if liking being pretty outside is bad or vain, but reading your article at least made me feel not so alone in that. Thank you.
Hi there Isabella,
Thanks so much for stopping by and you shouldn’t worry about offending anyone with your true self, including me. Funny how things that can seem superficial, like make-up, can absolutely have a transforming effect on your inside, as well as your outside! I’m so glad my piece gave you a positive feeling!! You are so very welcome!
