Mixed Media Christmas Party Time Tag

Happy Monday, my dear friends, I am so glad you are back for the new challenge. This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, our theme is "PARTY TIME". This challenge will last for 2 weeks so you have until 8am EST on 6th January to join in.

I was inspired to create a mixed media tag using Simon Says Clear Stamps Celebrate You for the balloons and decorated it with Prima Marketing Joyful Christmas in the Country Flowers. To start this project, I covered the size 8 tag using the paper from the Tim Holtz Christmas paper stash using the double sided tape, then distressed the edges of the tag using a distress tool.

I stamped the balloons on the some papers from the same collection, then cut and outlined them using the ink pads. These balloons were adhered on the tag using the foam tape.

The Prima Christmas flowers were arranged and glued on the tag. On a piece of white card stock I stamped the sentiment, cut and layered with a piece of patterned paper and pasted the sentiment on the tag. To finish off this project I randomly glued some star sequins on the tag.

Watercolor Christmas Postcard Cityscape

Happy Monday my dear blog friends! Welcome back for the new challenge! This week at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge our theme is "CITYSCAPE". I was inspired to create a watercolor Christmas postcard using Altenew Sketchy Cities America Clear Stamp Set and Tim Holtz Cling Rubber Stamps Christmas Nostalgia, and colored it using Daniel Smith Ultimate Mixing Hand Poured Watercolor. 

I started this project with trimming the watercolor paper into size 4.25 X 5.5". The Santa and cityscape images were stamped with Tim Holtz Christmas Nostalgia Stamp and Altenew Sketchy Cities Stamp and the black ink pad. I colored the background and the cities image using Daniel Smith watercolors. 

On a piece of the white card stock, I stamped the happy holidays sentiment, cut and pasted it on the postcard. Some sentiments were added using Tim Holtz Christmas Remnant Rubs. As the final touch, I randomly glued some star sequins on the postcard.
