Hi, nancydrewfic community!

Due to the recent changes in LJ's Terms of Service, I've imported the community over to dreamwidth. I don't plan on deleting this LiveJournal community unless circumstances change, but I'll be using the dreamwidth version myself. So I've finally set up a Patreon page. If you're unfamiliar with it, it's a way for fans to financially support artists, fanfic writers and original-fiction writers, bloggers, etc. As part of the rewards, I will be posting some stories/story chapters/ficlets on Patreon first, and then publishing that content here and on AO3 six months or a year later. (The first ficlet has already been posted!) If you're interested in contributing to my campaign, go check it out, and know that you will have my eternal gratitude! Contribution amounts start at $1/month. If you're hesitant, I'll include Patreon links on my story chapters from here on out, so you can think about it for a while.

FAQ:

The campaign is set up for monthly contributions. Can I just contribute once?

Pretty much, yes. You would make a pledge, and then after you are charged for it (generally the first of the month), you can cancel your pledge to prevent future charges.

Will ALL stories/story chapters be posted on Patreon only/first now?

No. My ongoing series stories and the stories I've already begun here, like tall, dark and dangerous and Red Label, will always be free and available to anyone regardless of Patreon. I will share story snippets and notes with Patreon backers, but the actual chapters and story sections will be on AO3 and LJ, like they have been. I think it's unfair to charge you for accessing content you've already started reading this way. (That's also part of the reason I wasn't very comfortable with changing nothing else but this into an original series... Patreon is a much more comfortable alternative.)

Summary/Prompt: From otpmusings: Person A is scheduled to visit Person B that evening, but it’s raining heavily and by the time they arrive, they’re pretty wet. B lets them in and goes to get them a towel, while Person A sits on the sofa. When B comes back, they intend to simply hand A the towel and let A get on with it. But instead, they instinctively take a seat next to A, and starts drying A’s hair themselves. Both parties are a little taken aback, softened by B’s casual, unexpected affection. A catches B’s eye, and B gently stops what they’re doing. Either A or B leans into the other, and they end up having their first kiss.
