I've decided to start keeping a journal again, for a vast and dizzying myriad of reasons. Or perhaps it's more of a motley, truth be told. A lot of unmatching, ill-fitting wants and half-baked hoped, sewn together into this little plot of mine towards self-improvement at long last.
I moved to Colorado Springs on January 16th. Upon my arrival, I quickly discovered my mother was living like an animal, and that apparently now I was, too. Well, that had to change, and fast.
I won't bore you with all the details, but I will say that it has involved many fights, a few days of secretly getting rid of my mother's stuff while she was at school, and eventually a huge intervention with me and my siblings all telling her how badly her hoarding had truly damaged our lives. I think maybe she got it, maybe she didn't. Either way, we've made a looooooot of progress and I am very happy about it.
And speaking of happiness, I finally have managed to stop finding it only at the bottom of a glass or wafting from a bong. Go me!!! Mind you, that's kind of recent, but it's part of the reason I wanted to start keeping a journal so much again.
In that vain, I've been meditating, I stopped my HAART meds, I have a job, I deleted my facebook, I am going to be investing again here soon, and I start parkour classes next week as a birthday present to myself. All in all, hells yeah.
I'm thinking I may even try to make friends here sooner or later. Or who knows, date someone? Hahaha. I know, I know, "Rein it in you crazy dreamer!"
^.^
Oh, btw, I am not sleeping much like at all since I stopped smoking weed and I haven't felt like taking sleep-aids every night. Errg. But hey, I'm guessing you can look forward to many, many more late-night posts. Hidden bonus of my frayed neurons? You betcha!
