Okayokayokay! Calming down now. *deep breath* I'm sure y'all are wondering what all the fuss is about, and I KNOW that you're going to groan and grumble when you hear that it's all about a fic I just read. But YOU GUYS! This fic! OH MY GOD! It pushed all my buttons!
Okay, I am a self-admitted angst whore, (Not sure if I've mentioned that around here or not) and the best angst stories I've found are those that have a satisfying resolution. Not necessarily a happy one, but a satisfying one. AND THIS WILL BE WHERE I POINT PEOPLE WHEN THEY ASK ME WHAT I MEAN!
There were tear, y'all. Actual-fax tears. AND THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN! It is incredibly hard to get me that emotionally invested in a character or characters to draw that kind of reaction. I mean, damn, it's practically unheard of. BUT THIS ONE DID IT!
Stumble Through Mist and Magic by rufflefeather is just -- there are no words. There's love and lust and pain and so much loneliness -- it's just delicious and hurts and so damned good. GO READ IT!
