ISSUE #77

Hello and welcome to Indiepocalypse!

Indiepocalypse is a curated monthly collection looking to highlight the very best of the alternative indie game scene.

Each month features games by 10 different developers, including a newly commissioned game exclusive to the bundle-zine. The games cover a wide variety of styles, genres, and themes as they fight against any definition of "indie game" as a genre.

Also, and this part is very important to me and should truly be taken as given, each contributor is paid and developers are paid royalties on all future sales.

This Month's Games

Pitt's Party (WIN/MAC/Linux/Browser) by eita

Image

It's Pitt's birthday and he threw a party! And he invited you! But oops! You lost your invitation! What should you do now?

Walk in the Sun (WIN/MAC/Linux) by gg8473

Image

Claire's got one goal - to spend time with her best friend Jamie after school. Nothing's going to get in the way of that.

words from pluto... (WIN) by ThatMegalosaurus, Persickaria

Image

words from pluto... is a short experimental platformer where you use different words to move. Different words are linked to unique movement abilities like jumping or sliding. Collect scrolls throughout the game to obtain more words to expand your movement capabilities. Use your limited movement options to figure out how to climb the mysterious mountain and find out what is at the top. All that is required to play this game is a keyboard.

Monuments To Guilt (WIN/MAC) by Louis Brooks

Image

Take a first-person wander through Monuments to Guilt, a short exhibition exploring exclusionary design. Acquaint yourself with the core principles of this harmful practice, re-evaluate the objects you see every day and let guilt sit with you, for just a little while.

Desert Angels (WIN/MAC) by Amorphous

Image

Desert Angels is an open-world narrative adventure / third-person shooter(?) / 'walking sim with guns'.

A century of peace in the desert is broken all at once: a stranger falls from the stars, the empire beyond the sands threatens to invade, and the machines keeping the village alive are failing. The scrapyard contains your village's hope, with so much lost technology buried in the sands. Uncover the scrapyard's memories — or blast those memories to pieces — to find it.

DESIRE: Girls with no Dreams (WIN/Linux) by Team Desire

Image

"Follow Mirian, a young woman tormented by confusing memories and aftereffects of a terrible disease, while she fights to live and find love in the end of the world."

A sapphic dating simulator visual novel starring a Brazilian cast, made by Brazilian people. It is composed of three chapters (the first one released as a demo, the second in production) and has four main love interests (as of now).

Fencing Practice (WIN/Linux) by Mandy J Watson

Image

Fencing Practice is a small action-adventure game made in 48 hours in

Bitsy for the Global Game Jam 2026. The theme was "Mask". It features

accurate terminology and movement in tiny-pixel format, as well as a

cast of characterful NPCs and an absolutely absurd premise.

Mothballs (WIN/Game Boy) by Hatsvin

Image

Woof!

A look into the daily life of a dog.

(Yep, that's it)

(Nothing else to see here)

This House has a History (Physical) by Soren Jack Marius

Image

A solo journaling horror game about memory, death, and the walls that remember.

Every home carries echoes. Each generation leaves something behind — laughter, grief, blood, dust. In This House Has a History, you will uncover the lives (and deaths) that shaped a single haunted home across decades.

All you need to play is a deck of cards and your preferred method of journaling. Draw cards to reveal ghosts, objects, and curses. Write entries in reverse chronological order — beginning in the present day and moving backward through tragedy, obsession, and ruin — until you reach the moment the house was cursed. When the final card is drawn, decide whether the curse breaks… or fulfills its purpose.
