I am recently graduated from Carleton College, where I studied history. This coming fall, I'll start an MA in archaeology at Cornell University. My research interests include the study of settlements on the edge of the Greek-speaking world in Asia, experimental archaeology, and the transmission and reception of classical texts in the late antique and medieval Middle East.
Other interests of mine include fishing, hand-painted advertisement signs, solar-powered and (surprise!) static websites, prairie restoration, soccer in several forms, radio (both at Carleton and around the world), incunabula and bookplates, and pickles.

- And several years ago, I created a curriculum for elementary school geography clubs (recently moved to this site), based on one I led for several years.
