It's month 3 of Something Beautiful and I've already started missing weekly drawings D:< But the goal I set for myself was a drawing a month, so I haven't failed yet! Been thinking a lot about light recently, ever since I saw this piece of art (here are some more great pieces: one, two, three, four, five). I've always struggled with light when drawing without a direct reference, so I want to practice it more.

Also, the skies have been gorgeous recently due to the on/off rains and emergence of sunny spring weather. My mood appreciates it even if my allergies do not.

I used my Pentel GFKP brush pen for the trees / Half Dome, which I didn't realize I had another cartridge of ink for. A happy coincidence that I checked before buying more!

Besides sporadic art, I feel like all I've been doing the past few weeks is prep; for my roadtrip with a good friend in SoCal on the first week of April (we're hitting up LA, San Diego, and 2 national parks!), and for my first time DMing a D&D 5e game next weekend. I'm very excited for both of these things! I just want them to arrive faster, haha.
