welcome to pressipice, a community for sharing ebooks of fanfic from any fandom. gen, het, femslash, slash and poly are all welcome.
there are just a few basic posting and tagging rules:
ask for permission before posting an ebook of someone else's work. if you are not the author of the fic you want to convert, please ask the author for permission. not everyone wants their stories converted for ereaders or they may have other conversion plans or something. it's only polite to ask. you don't need proof of their permission; i will assume that you have obtained it before posting. however, if an author complains, the post will be deleted immediately and you will be given a warning. if you are an author, you may offer permission to covert some or all of your work in comments here, if you wish.
please use the following format for posting. put the fandom, title of the fic and author in the subject (ie the subject line should read: fandom - fic title - author). For the content, please use the following template, copying & pasting the below and then replacing anything in square brackets with the correct information for your fic:
tags are required. every post should have at least five: your pub tag (or new pub, if it's your first time posting), a file tag for each kind of downloadable file in your post (epub, mobi, etc), a fandom tag (or untagged fandom if it's the first ebook in a fandom), an author tag (or untagged author if it's the first ebook for an author) and a type tag (gen, slash, etc). you can either manually add the tags when posting (to see all available tags, look here) or you can post the entry and then click on the edit tags icon immediately after posting. this will take you to the tag editing page, where a box with the available tags appears below your entry text. to select multiple tags, hold down the control key while clicking.
please see my post for pairing pendragon/merlin for an example of a properly filled out and tagged post.
all posts must be on-topic. this is a community for posting fanfic ebooks and if they happen, notices of ebook challenges/fests (please contact the mod for approval before posting a challenge). at this point, i don't plan on this being a resource community. If you have questions about how to make an ebook, check the resources post (which will exist shortly). if that doesn't provide the answer, leave a comment their and we'll will try to help you. off-topic posts will be deleted. if you would like to request that a certain story be converted, you may do so in the comments here.
if you have questions about the community, the rules, or the tags, you can leave a comment on this entry.
i'm also looking for a co-mod, so if you're interested, leave a comment on this post or send me a PM.
