There really isn't anything more consistent than trying to settle in on a site and then just...not doing that...for another year........ Nu, so I've made it back here, and it's been nearly a year since last I was here. What have I been up to in the interim? WELL! gardening, in the spring and into autumn; having and recovering from a particularly nasty RSI in the fall, getting into split keyboards out of necessity (RSI) and ending up with a new hobby of building and--soon--designing mechanical keyboards that's gotten me to learn C for fun (this isn't illegal, but it should be >:3 )

I've been building a bunch of split keyboards, starting with the Kyria (splitkb), then the Osprette (s'mores boards) and am now dailying the fissure v3 (crides on github), and once I get my soldering station fully re-set up I've got several more builds waiting (including a trackball mouse! I've got a ploopy nano kit waiting to be built and I am stoked to get that rolling. I'm just waiting on a new desk to arrive so I can rotate all the tables/desks I own to extract the One True Soldering Station Table!

I've been progressing learning a new alpha layout for the last month or so, too, and my wpm is consistently in the upper 30s with the new layout! (now granted in qwerty I'm at like 120 wpm, so I've a ways to go before I hit parity, but I very much suspect I'll eventually be faster on alt layouts than on qwerty.

It is february, so it's time to start getting seedlings started for the garden (oh heck i've got to figure out the actual physical garden beds for this year, thank goodness actual planting is a couple months away)
