They don't know, not yet. But they will.
Soon.
It's not that they couldn't know by now, and some people do, there's no mistaking that. They don't want to know. It's easier for them, pretending everything in their world still makes sense in the logical ordered fashion they've known it as for so many years, centuries now that they've blinded themselves to the truth. The truth about us, about the world we live in, about themselves.
It was something they knew in older days, when so much was still a mystery that they could accept this too. They grew over confident, convinced of their own supremacy, and they killed. Killed the Earth, killed those that dwelled in Her protection, killed the Old Ways. Now that they have run their resources into the ground, overtaxed the planet...
Now they look to old truths once more
Now that we are all but extinct from their greed do they seek knowledge they have willingly forgotten
Now they will learn, once again, that they are not alone.
