today a new inspiration  for our DT Tresors de Luxe.

 an idea for an altered box as gift idea to store photos or jewelry.

 I used a wooden box and decoupage paper for the background,

chalk paint and antiquing cream

this matte finished paint together with the laces, a little bit bling, bling (because it's christmas :-)

and the romantic satin flower create an beautiful

vintage effect

 just the right combination for a particular woman christmas gift

This month challenge theme is Vintage Christmas
this was really perfect for me , because I love the romantic old christmas and winter impressions.
I decided to make a ATB with nostalgic images, crackle and snow effects.

I used the beautiful crackle distress paint colors in brown and white

I must say I love  this one-step crackle paint, 

it will truly change the way you distress your projects.

also the wonderful distress colors,  

they are not pushy and too colorful, but they give your project

an amazing altered vintage look

It's a self made sewn christmas stocking.

 

das nostalgische Bild wurde auf eine Bügeltransferfolie gedruckt

 und auf den alten Baumwollstoff übertragen.

  Diese Folie kann man auch mit wasserfesten Stempelkissen sehr gut bestempeln.

 

zusammen mit den alten Glöckchen und dem grünen Filz

 ist es eine echte, vielleicht auch magische Elfensocke geworden,

wo viele nette kleine Überraschungen hinein passen

die Spitzenapplikationen sind wunderbar verarbeitet und zusätzlich mit

Perlen und Pailetten verziert

The new Challenge Theme in December is : Tis the Season! 
I have made a vintage holiday card
with my favourite colour combination
blue and brown 

December that's the month 
where everyone is dreaming of a white christmas, or ;-)
 
sparkling snow crystals in enchanted winter forest
 and a rendeer without red nose ;-)
Santa is coming ...

for background I used distress inks, stamps (snowflakes) with white embossing powder,

a little bit snow texture with silver glimmer

little santa hat is from One Dollarstore

stamp sentiments with silver embossing powder
diamond stencil with distressed ink in background
based on a white cardstock card (Trees from a dutch company)

Our Special Winter Challenge by
SanDee& Amelie's Steampunk Challenge

   for November AND December is 

-Anything Goes- 
Steampunk/Industrial 

 This challenge will be open until the end of December (so there's two months time this time to play along) 
and once more we have two prizes to give away to two randomly drawn winners 
(picked from all proper entries to our challenge).

today a new idea what you can make with a simple plastic frame from Dollarstore

 I have used 3 several embossing folder on cardstock

then paint it with black gesso, let it dry 

now use Metallic Lustre (Silver spark) with a stencil brush, because it's a water-based metallic wax paste, you can buff it with a soft cloth and you will see a wonderful brilliant shine

pipelines arise from sturdy drinking tubes

with heat gun you can deform it very well

 light bulbs are of an old Christmas lighting chains 

So as long as it is steampunk or industrial style you can create any kind  of theme and project you wish! From steampunk style Christmas baubles to non-Christmas steampunk cards to tags to altered objects or whatever else you would love to create -

 we want to see it all!
