Pink-Merry Christmas

Image

Hello Friends, I am back today with another Christmas card. This time, I made a card just for me using some of my older but favorite Waffle Flower products. I am using the Retro Christmas Tree Die and Stencil. I just love this layered Christmas tree so much, and when I was organizing my stash the other day, I kept it out to play with.

I have once again taken ink to half of my Merry Sentiment, as I just love how it looks. Then I layered it with a piece of gold-mirrored paper, and the rest of the sentiment is foiled in gold. This sentiment set happens to be currently on sale. I also used the Linear Touch Rectangles to add a nice border.

Waffle Flower is having a Flash Sale today if you are interested!

I am playing along with the Just Add Ink Challenge to use Dies and/or Stencils or both.

Dear Santa, Ho Ho Ho

Image

Hello Friends, I am back from a tiny three-day getaway with the hubby! We were off celebrating the anniversary of the day we met 36 years ago. While I was away, I also had the pleasure of meeting up with a new crafty friend, which is always such a treat. I have a pic below of Kimmer and I. I tell you, crafty people are just the best, and it’s always such a joy when you get the opportunity to connect in real life.

Image

Since the theme this month is Christmas in July, I am back with a Santa card from the Spectacular Christmas Collection. I have a very unusual color combination, but I think it is fun and festive. What about you? I am a sucker for non-traditional colors.

Image

A Few Card Details: I have once again used the same EF-Season Sparkles as I just love it. The only cardstock that is not Spellbinders is the Santa Sack. I believe it is from Lawn Fawn. The three gold-foiled sentiments are from a new collection from Lisa Horton called Snowflakes. That collection has been delayed, and Spell hopes that it will be available next month. The set is called Snowflake Kisses.

I hope you have a great day and weekend too, and I will see you back on Monday or perhaps sooner; we shall see. Nanc’

Rock Out

Image

Hello Friends. It is the middle of the month already and time for the next duo of colors at Color Hues! I have stepped in as hostess for Jules, and the colors she chose are Red and Black.

When I saw this combo coming up, I knew I had the perfect new release from Hero Arts to work with. This card was made with the Vintage Vinyl Collection. This is one of those sets that is perfect when you need a masculine card, and a bonus is that it comes together really quickly.

Image

A Few Card Details: The record die has a matching stencil, and that is how I did the darker grey. I inked over grey cardstock with Black Oxide ink. You can get both the stencil and die in the Drop the Needle Bundle. The sentiments are part of the Vintage Vinyl Stamp Set. The sentiment set does have matching dies but at the time I made this card, I had misplaced the die set.😏

While I had this set out, I decided to make an additional card. The background on this card is a bit wonky, but I don’t know who makes it.

Hello Friend

Image

Hello Friends, I have a very CAS card for you today using a set from Yana’s Christmas Cat Collection. I am using the window die from the Christmas Cat Accesories set and pairing it with the flowers from her Everyday City Holiday Collection.

A Few Card Details: The EF is from Taylored Expressions and is called Weathered. I used the rooftop of the Yana’s House to make my long window box by flipping it upside down. The vellum in the window has a rippled pattern, and I thought it resembled horizontal blinds really well. The sentiment is from the Essentially Yours Collection. The flowers are part of the Everyday Windows, Curtains, and Flowerboxes. Everything I can link is linked below.

HA-Home for the Holidays

Image

Hello Friends, I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I am back today to share a new collection from Hero Arts called Home for the Holidays. The possibilities with this collection are endless.

For this card, I have used the Front Door Layering Stencils, the Winter Wreath Die, and the Very Merry Wishes Stamp and Cut Sentiments.

I love the rustic vibe of the layering stencils along with the orange slices. How about you? Do you still think it works for a Holiday card even though it is primarily orange and brown?

Image

A Few Card Details: The bottom sentiment was heat embossed in gold EP on Vellum. The center strip in the back of the wreath is also vellum. I used many colors of Oxide Inks to do my door and orange slices. I have foam squares for dimension.

Birthday Wish Sealed for You

Image

Hello Friends, I am so glad you are here! It is time for the next challenge at Seize the Birthday. Cathy is our hostess and she has chosen One or More Numbers as our Topping. I have been organizing my supplies for the last week and came across the perfect EF with numbers all over it as I was organizing. However, when I finished with this card, I realized you can barely see the EF at all. 🤣 So when the card was all finished, I added the tiny 15 and 50 cents cause I felt bad.

A Few Card Details: There are a lot of different supplies on this card, so I am going to just list them below, and you need to let me know if you have any questions.

Also, I was inspired by a card on the Waffle Flower Website to take the flap of the envelope and stencil it. Then I also saw a card on Pinterest where they tucked the card under the flap. I actually do that right before I am ready to send out a card.

When Life Gives You Lemons

Image

Hello Friends, I am back today with two more cards using July’s My Monthly Hero Kits that sold out really fast this month. The kits are incredible, so I totally understand how.

If this first card looks a wee bit familiar, I CASED myself. You can find that original card HERE! Also, if you saw my other lemon card from a few days ago, I told you I had another card using the same blue-and-yellow color combo because I loved it so much.

A Few Card Details: This time, I have glitzed up the background by using the Arched Tiles background stamp that comes in the kit. The background is stamped, embossed in gold, and then run through the matching EF. I think the pattern is gorgeous. I trimmed that panel with a tiny strip of gold. The blue scalloped pieces are from the Eyelet Scalloped Border. The leaves and lemons are inked with either SSS or Oxide inks.

Card #2

Image

A Few Card Details: This is a CAS card with a cute sentiment. I have once again used my favorite Open Lace Frame and Landscapes dies and colored my lemon tree and basket with Copics. Those items are popped up with Foam Squares. I think the sentiment is so funny!

I am playing along with my friend Carol over at Inkspirational Challenge, which has a Visual Prompt with lemons.

Image

I am also linking this card up with my friend Darnell over at NBUS where she has a very special celebration and giveaway!

Happy Holidays

Image

Hello Friends, I hope you had a nice weekend. I am back with more Christmas in July, featuring products from the July All Clubs Crate from Spellbinders. Unfortunately, just like Hero Arts, this crate has sold out this month. Just goes to show how good the new products have been lately.

This die set is intended to have the candy cane swing back in forth, but I chose to make mine stationary. The set also comes with a cute snowman that you could also have swinging on the candy cane. I paired this set with a few of my other favorite Spell products and they are linked below.

You are the Zest

Image

Hello Friends, Even though both Hero Arts Kits sold out in the blink of an eye, I still have a few cards left to share. This card took some patience to put together, but totally worth it in the end. What do you think of my color palette? I like it! In fact, I have another card I will share next week using the same colors.

A Few Card Details: The reason I said it takes a bit of patience is…I wanted this card to have plenty of dimension, so I used pieces of Foam Squares under each blossom, lemon, and leaf. There was a lot of cutting involved. 😆 I think you can see the dimension better in the pic below. The background color is Windy from Spellbinders. The leaves were cut from Cascade and then inked up. The lemons were cut out of white and inked entirely. Treasured Gold Cardstock for the center of the blossoms and the paper embellishments.
