Since the invention of the digital camera, I've been an enthusiastic amateur, who by now sometimes even knows what she's doing. Although I just as often—if not more often—get lucky. Or, you know, not, but that's what delete buttons are for? The photos posted here aren't necessarily My Best Ever, but there is 'something' about them that makes them worth sharing—or so I think, at least.

I'm taking requests for subjects or themes, if you have any, so don't hesitate to let me know. I'll try to provide when I can.

Most of my photography is being done on holidays, or other outings. Posts will generally be public, except when I'm traveling and posting as I go. No need to advertise to the entire world when I'm not home, right? Locked photos posts will eventually be made public as well, but if you like to follow along, feel free to subscribe.

I try to add location information to the photos as well as I can, but please be aware that the point on the map is often only approximate. While newer photos may have exact GPS data, for older ones I tend to have to go by memory.

Unless stated otherwise, the photos here carry a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license. This means you can share, distribute or display them, as well as make derivative works, as long as you

1. do not use them commercially;
   
2. attribute the work to shadomanda and where possible, include a link back to http://shadomanda.dreamwidth.org/;
   
3. release any derivative or altered works based on my photographs under the same license as the original material.
