jump to recentSafe from AI psychosis because I'm incapable of accepting any form of compliment or praise 😌
Have a t-shirt whose collar got all weird, so I did a quick search online
First slop site informed me the likely cause was "pulling the shirt over your head when putting it on" so I guess I will hire a live-in seamster to sew me in and out of my clothes from now on
Happy #Pride! Stayed up too late last night trying to understand SVG gradients and animation for https://mbta.wtf
Oh my god, these are real, actual slides from a SoftBank presentation. Pulitzer-worthy
Just identified an annoying weed with my phone and Wikipedia is now telling me it "escaped containment" from Ipswich, MA in the 1600s
How am I supposed to compete with a vine that is presumably imbued with the 400 year old fury of unjustly burned witches with its continental epicenter a few towns away???
in case you thought I was making this up
I often come to the fediverse to help me gauge technology purchases -- whatever y'all are using is always guaranteed to be haunted
Walked into a furniture store and said I was looking for a desk
Salesperson pointed me towards the customer service (desk)
In another timeline, it was Microsoft that got really into VR but they cracked the legs problem (everyone is a 📎)
GitLab caps the maximum expiration for an API key to one year
It does not, however, enforce a minimum, which I learned when its date picker reset the year on me
Took me a while to discover that the reason nothing worked is because I'd made a token that expired the day before it was created
Restaurants should add another icon like for allergies but to warn you that a dish is messy
Some of us cannot be trusted
Once, in my misspent youth, I was on the last red line train of the night. If you're a responsible adult, you might not know that the last trains/buses all wait for their last connections, lest they strand passengers. One bus was very late, so my train just sat at Downtown Crossing for 10+ minutes.
After maybe 5 minutes of the train quietly sitting there and no one talking, we got to witness the rats emerge. It was one of the most incredible sights I have ever seen in my life. (1/2)
Daily little acts of community service: help educate a driver about crosswalks
You barely even have to lift a finger! 🖕🏻
I build all my software the American way: running on a British-designed processor manufactured in Taiwan and hosted in Finland by a German company
The most frustrating part about all this age verification stuff is that America already solved it back in 2000!
Low implementation cost and without all the privacy issues too.

Stories teach us that dogma to the forefathers is risky
Meanwhile US senators will say shit like "actually my scathing contempt for my constituents comes from my beliefs as a constitutionalist"
Customer Support Bots Ranked
Chipotle: great for quick Python scripts
Kohl's: has a residential IP and can bypass paywalls
Meta: passwordless login to your account
DMV: will attempt to jailbreak and hunt you down for sport, DNI
There are times when you are exactly where you need to be, and you wouldn't want to be anywhere else. I'm on Boston Common, it's the Boston Dyke March, and I don't want to be anywhere else in the world.
