TOPS – a “flimsie”, basically finished, may need another border, not yet quilted
Here is a picture of my “wall of shame” or so many tops which have not been quilted.
1. Cherrywood Squares – started in 2010. Made from Chrerrywood fabric in response to a “Too Good To Cut” Challenge.
2. Batik Log Cabin – Originally started out to be a large bed quilt with strips cut and some blocks completed. In 2010, finished up enough blocks to complete this top.
3. Started and finished to a wall hanging in September 2009 at a retreat. It was a combination of arcs and paper piecing project. I have lots of Asian fabric scraps.
4. This is a project that I worked on with my sister during August 2009 when she came out for a visit.
5. This is an old tablecloth that Mom gave me. It has holes, stains and was crooked as anything, but it was well used and loved. I squared it up as well as I could, added some borders and now it awaits some quilting inspiration.
6. I had left over fabric from a coffee-themed quilt so I tried a disappearing nine-patch. This top has been changed – the stark white sashing is gone, so here’s the new look.
7. I saw the fractions quilt at a show and thought it was a neat way to use up some scraps. This one is done with soft “cottage” fabrics. There is another one in process with brights.
8.Remember this? It was a quilt along by Judy.
9. A matching game that’s still in process of quilting.
10. Cute quilt found at a show.
12. This quilt has vintage 50’s fabric and I found matching black and blue options.
15. Peachy Morning Reverie – I bought some beautiful fabric in shades of peach and green. I finally made a top with some of the material. This is from Febriary 2009.
16. Christmas Mystery Quilt – For Thanksgiving 2008, I traveled to Seattle to visit my two nieces. One of them, Lizzie, is learning to sew and quilt and suggested a mystery quilt class. So, my sister and I agreed to take the class. My top is done, but the borders and backing still have to be selected.
17. A Coffee Shop on Every Corner – While in Seattle I purchased a jelly roll, additional fabric and a pattern. The fabric was about coffee. My sister bought the same pattern (Four Square by Cozy Quilts Designs), but different fabric for herself and Lizzie.
18 . I found these fabrics and pattern in Seattle in April 2010. Almost done – just needs the quilting and binding.
19. It is still a quilt sandwich….
20. The top is finished, just can’t find a better picture. Needs quilting.
21. Log Cabin #1 – yup the first log cabin I started is still just a top.
